Overall very nice condo. There were tiny ants around the kitchen area. But honestly that could just be because of the tropical climate. Definitely wish more toilet paper and paper towels were provided. There were no paper towels at all. The pool area is wonderful. A lot of older people though and not very family friendly. The older residents seemed annoyed with our children and security pestered us alot for no reason. We were very respectful and followed the rules of the pool. Would visit again but not with children.

The condo was set up nice. It had excellent beds. EDM is a awesome quiet place to relax. The beach is great where there is only a few people for miles. You definitely need to come prepared as groceries stores are miles away.

The host was impressively responsive. Loved the cute decor and all of the wall hooks!! This condo complex is a very quiet place, has a nice pool and provides easy access to the beach. You’ll do most of your own cooking (in a well-provisioned kitchen), as there are not many restaurants nearby.

Our stay here was very nice. Everything you need is available in the condo. Great view of pool area beach from the porch where we had breakfast every morning. We enjoyed our stay hope to return next season. Natalie is a very accommodating host.

Good but with points to improve

Overall good place to stay, but with some points to improve: poor communication between host and property management team, little bugs around drain spots, loud noise during some days due to renovations in the neighbour condos, property management of condos phase non approachable to ease the communication.

Spectacular and secluded beach vacation

We're not golfers, but this is our third stay at EDM. We come for the ocean and the quiet. It's one of the most beautiful spots I've found on the ocean, especially if you're into nature and long beach walks. This condo in Phase 1 was really great. More modern than some (I had to google how to use a hub stove) and while it took some figuring out how to adjust the indoor temperature, it was simple once I knew. The owners were very responsive when we had no hot water. It was fixed quickly. Thank you! All in all a great condo with beautiful ocean views and morning sun earlier than most. We luckily arranged with Mariene in Property Services to have groceries delivered (was told this was not offered at the moment), but in general the lack of access to groceries proves to be a downside of EDM. I always wonder why the little super-mini doesn't stock more food (and even fresh or frozen fruit/veggies) rather than mainly chips and pop. While owners usually have vehicles or means to get to town, it's a hassle for VRBO vacationers. Otherwise, EDM is my forever vacation spot.

Beautiful property but location is far from city

Property is beautiful. It was very clean. It is extremely far from town. Middle of nowhere but extremely safe as the front gate staff is strict with who enters the property. You can’t leave the property without calling a taxi and Ubers aren’t allowed past the main gate. The beach always has a red flag with signs stating it is too dangerous to swim. If you want a golf course this is the place. It’s very quiet if you are looking to get away this property is beautiful. My flight left late host was very accommodating I was able to stay until needed. Unlike a hotel.

Worst experiense ever

I don’t know how to start… at our arrival we wer not registred and the y wouldn’t let us in the property, the People in charged was not there to Welcome us, after a long time and phone calls we finally enter. The unit was dirty, sheets with hait on it and the ac was turned off. Everything looked organized but it was Not clean. The ac had a notification that the battery was low and needed to be replaced. I called DAVID who was supposed to be in charged but he said everything was fine and I was not to be worried. On satuedat morning the ac stoped working and no one came to help us, the y stop answering Messages and phone calls. FINALLY Natali who is the owner of the condo answer an email at 9:00 pm that day. Do you know how hot it is Mazatlan dirime the summer? EDM is a beautiful property and this unir has nothing wrong Isis pite being Fifth. It was just the lack of attention and interest about making guest like home and helpimg when needed. No one took responsaibliy of anything Not even an apology. Very disipointed.

Excelente lugar. Paz y tranquilidad hermosa vista a la alberca y al mar. única observación. NO está cerca del centro de Mazatlan ni de supermercados.... lleven su despensa para que no tenga que estar saliendo a eso... la playa de isla de piedra genial está en ese camino por si quieres nadar en el mar. Todo el personal de Estrella de mar muy atentos... 100 % recomendable. si vuelvo a este lugar
