Cancelled at the last minute

The rep for the owner told me they were double booked so even though I had booked mine months prior they would not let us rent it then the owner contacted me and said something totally different that it was due to the roof. So on the day of arrival we looked and there were 0 rentals in the area. So I ended up paying almost double to stay in a hotel.
