Set on over 3,500 m² (37,500 sq ft) of private grounds, Quinta do Sol is a spacious villa designed for memorable stays with family and friends.

The highlight of the property is its exceptional outdoor leisure area, featuring a private covered swimming pool, a pool house with kitchen, a BBQ area, table tennis, soccer goals, a basketball hoop, fruit trees, and plenty of space to relax or play. Indoors, guests can also enjoy a pool table and a foosball table, while the pool house is equipped with a projector and a 3-metre screen, perfect for memorable movie nights with family and friends.

With five comfortable bedrooms, generous indoor living areas and outstanding outdoor facilities, Quinta do Sol comfortably accommodates up to 11 guests, making it the perfect choice for family holidays, group getaways and special occasions.

Located just minutes from Mealhada's renowned restaurants, supermarkets and train station, the villa also provides an excellent base for exploring Coimbra, Aveiro, Bussaco Forest and Portugal's beautiful central region.

Whether you're spending sunny afternoons by the pool, enjoying a barbecue with friends or simply unwinding in the peaceful countryside, Quinta do Sol offers everything you need for an unforgettable stay.

We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home, so please take good care of it as if it were your own.

Mealhada is part of the renowned Bairrada wine region, famous for producing some of the country’s best wines, particularly sparkling wines and the robust red wines made from the Baga grape. Nearby, many local vineyards offer tastings and tours, making this an ideal spot for wine enthusiasts.

A short drive from the property, you’ll find Mata Nacional do Bussaco (Buçaco Forest), a stunning forest reserve filled with ancient trees, picturesque trails, and historical sites. The forest also houses the Bussaco Palace, a neo-Manueline masterpiece that once served as a royal hunting lodge and is now a luxury hotel. This location is perfect for a scenic hike, a quiet day in nature, or even a meal at the palace’s fine dining restaurant.

Mealhada is also famed for its leitão à Bairrada (Bairrada-style roast suckling pig), a local culinary speciality. There are numerous restaurants in the area, such as Pedro dos Leitões and Rei dos Leitões, where visitors can sample this iconic dish prepared in traditional wood-fired ovens.

For relaxation and wellness, Termas da Curia is a short drive away, offering spa facilities and thermal baths in a beautiful park setting. With peaceful walking paths, a large lake, and plenty of green spaces, Curia is a popular spot for those looking to unwind.

Though rural and peaceful, the area is well-connected by road, making it easy to explore the surrounding area, with Coimbra, a city known for its historical university and medieval architecture, only a 30-minute drive away.

The best way to reach the property is by car/taxi, but it is located just 2.3 km from Mealhada station. the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is about 60 minute drive.

This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation.

Once a reservation is confirmed, guests are requested to complete a guest registration form following the legal obligations stipulated by local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum.

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€.

For the first days, we will provide basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products, and a bin bag.

Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay).
Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee.
Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).

This apartment offers its guests an indoor pool, an arcade/game room, and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
