"Upon driving about 5 hours we got there late in the afternoon and found the place closed. Yes, closed. Fortunately I had the cell phone number of the owner. Unfortunately I could only place calls via WhatsApp if I had internet service inside the hotels, which I didn't right that moment. Long story short, the owner had sold the pousada and somehow forgot about our reservations. But he was kind enough to find us a pousada very close which could take us in such short notice. I suggest everyone confirm their stays at least two weeks before arrival."
