The old millstone now serves as a living room table - and everything else in this holiday home is very special. After all, you live here in a historic grain mill from the 18th century. The lovingly restored mill with adjoining storage offers you a living space of 105 m² on the ground floor. The cozy country-style furnishings combined with the typical elements of the original mill promise you an ambience in a class of its own. With a cozy underfloor heating and the open kitchen, you can of course look forward to modern comfort that guarantees you a carefree holiday. The mill also has a large garden, which is partly fenced in and partly surrounded by bushes and hedges. So you have found a wonderful place all around, where you can switch off and enjoy the private atmosphere. Your holiday resort of Medelby is located a good 20 kilometers from the gates of Flensburg, on the border with Denmark. In the village there is a bakery, supermarket, doctors and a bank. It is about 15 kilometers to the beaches of the Baltic Sea, and you will also find 3 natural bathing lakes nearby. The geographic location is also ideal for a trip to the North Sea, the Dagebüll pier (ferry dock to the island of Föhr) can be reached by car in around 45 minutes, for example. verlängertes Wochenende

Obwohl das Wetter, sehr stürmisch und teilweise auch regnerisch war, haben wir uns ein schönes verlängertes Wochenende gegönnt. Am Ende hatten wir sogar Glück mit den paar Sonnenstunden, genau zur richtigen Zeit. Husum, Flensburg, Föhr und schöne Stunden in der Mühle in Medelby.

Lage ist schön

Also wo soll ich anfangen. Lage und der Ort sind ruhig und schön. Nun das aber. Es ist alles sehr dunkel und hat so ein 70er Jahre Style. Das ist nicht das Problem. Man kann lüften so viel man will. Irgendwie geht so ein leicht muffiger Geruch einfach nicht raus. Umso schlimmer im zweiten Zimmer wo nicht einmal ein Fenster vorhanden war. Und für mich als Spinnephobiker sind die Spinnweben in Klo, bei der Dusche und vielen anderen Orten echt ein Problem gewesen. Ansonsten könnte man den Terrassen Bereich ruhig mal das Unkraut entfernen und einige Schäden drinnen wie im Aussenbereich reparieren. Kurz um man könnte doch einiges mal renovieren. Nur der Scharm der Mühle hat mich nicht überzeugt. Schön ja aber halt nicht alles. Könnte noch einiges aufzählen aber ist mir am Handy zu mühsam.
