Every negative review written about Arrow apartments is correct. I just hope others read the negative stuff before booking. You will be in basic, old, smelly tiny rooms. We booked the DELUX 2 Bedroom apartment.Website images are not true, or they have one renovated room for the photos. Our room had worn carpet that is lifting and a trip hazard, odd old and cracked floor tiles, aged fridge that didn’t get cold ( other reviews complain of the same problem). Hole in wall near the sofa bed, cracked shower glass and grout with mould in the shower. No plug for sink. Dishwashing liquid in an old water bottle with NO labelling.( high risk for children accidentally swallowing). The chain for blind was broken from the wall bracket ( a child hanging risk). Paint work is patched up and the aged furnishing of op shop quality.No mattress protectors, one had an old doona cover the other a very old blanket under sheets. Doona was paper thin and torn in numerous places. Previous reviews complaining about the bad smell in lift area. There is a garbage disposal shute next to the lift.It smelt like a week old dead animal. Reception knew about it but said there’s nothing they could do. There is no ventilation, it’s a health risk. This is a sub standard accommodation and should not be permitted to use the word DELUX, nicely appointed or any words referring to it being nice place. It is basic, old uni accommodation. I pity the the poor students that have to live there.

Disappointed with the condition of our room, even though we’ve chosen a penthouse option. The couch was not comfortable to sit in, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, a lamp didn’t work (light bulb issue - the staff didn’t have replacement, they wanted us to wait for an electrician), the elevators were extremely slow to arrive. We only got one key card among three people so we couldn’t separate at all (even to go to the gym). The price and the location was great, everything else - disappointing unfortunately

The location is good but the hotel is run down and extremely tired. Reception staff were friendly but check in process was slow. The room was a small and crampt and does not bear any resemblance to the pictures on Expedia. The room had a terrible smell of carpet freshener which appears to be to cover the smell of cigarettes despite warning signs of a $500 dollar fine for smoking. The room was mostly clean but upon pulling back the bed covers there were stains on the sheet and a long black hair. The air conditioning unit was old but worked well. The shower head was broken and had to be held to direct the water. The pool area is nice but you have to go to another building to get to it and the corridor to the pool was full of bags of rubbish. The location is great and a tram stop right outside. You get what you pay for but there are a lot of similar priced properties in Melbourne that give better value for money.

Really weird room. Booked for 4 people, it was only set up for 2. Sofa bed was old and ratty. Bathroom was slippery and in very poor condition. Towels like sandpaper. Pillows like pancakes. Communal areas dirty and smelly. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am to ask when we were leaving/try to hurry us out. Glass doors so no privacy. Our room looked like it was a hallway that had been converted to a 3br room with weird angles, louvre windows in partitions and glass bedroom doors. Staff were nice but this place just isnt up to any standard.
