There are very few hotels in this part of town and it is in a convenient location to me since I can walk to my friends house. I visited over Xmas so comments about cleaning and service are probably different to what is experienced normally. The place is rather tired but the reasonable tariff reflects this and it offers secure parking which is important to me.

The price was good. However the bathroom was extremely cramped (Room 32), the shower head was ineffective and every time the fan was used it drew bad odours from the drains. Also the bar fridge made a lot of noise.

It was a great one night stay within budget. Convenient location, neat and tidy, classic theme and easy check in and check out. It would have been nice if there was a microwave oven. Other than that great place to stay with family.

Brunswick Tower Hotel was clean and I appreciated the free parking. It is an old building and the room was showing its age. I would have liked a little more in the way of in-room facilities such as breakfast bowls and spoons. We were not offered the free wi-fi information and did not get a chance to return to the office to ask. Overall, this was a completely adequate place and cheap for the location. Moreland Road and the nearby Sydney Road are very busy. Sydney Road has lots of shops and places to eat but most are closer to the city quite a walk away.

I wouldn’t recommend this place unfortunately. When we arrived the reception was empty and it took several phone calls for someone to come. The room had cracked walls and smelled of smoke. I even stepped on some kind of snail. The only positive elements I can think of would be the day staff who was super helpful and kind and the area that is walkable, safe, close to a train and tram station and full of great dining options.
