Pros: 30 min walk to Melbourne park. Free parking. Cons: outdated, dirty, super dirty. the only AC unit is the apartment was leaking water all over the place. I did notify the front desk but no one was sent to address the issue. The apartment definitely needs to be deeply cleaned and repainted. The furniture need to be replaced(stains wear apparent). I should say that as far as the towels and bed sheets are concerned they seem to be clean.

Check in easy, staff friendly. Family on budget including parking - how can you go wrong. Location meant able to walk to free tram to get to sporting event, theatre, restaurants and shopping. Wasn't enough crockery or cutlery for room occupants, but staff fixed once informed. have booked again for future stays in Melbourne.

Do not stay at the Treasury site, not as depicted in photo advertisements. They advertise it to be so much nicer than it actually is. Believe the bad reviews! Although a central location, it was not clean. Dust, hair in bathroom, mould in shower, stunk of disinfectant on arrival, no where to put clothes in bathroom ready for after a shower, did not even have a toilet seat lid. The bathroom sink was painted and bubbling and peeling with paint. The shower wasn’t good. It wasn’t an enjoyable stay for us. Management in reception didn’t care about the state of the room when issues were raised. Gross. Don’t go there!

The room felt very old, it was dirty/ mouldy in a number of places including bathroom and kitchen. The beds were very well used and were not comfortable. The last night we stayed there was domestic violence in the apartment next to ours which caused a number of disturbances and had the police attending on 2 occasions.

Would never recommend. Room smelt musty, foyer smelt like curry, pillows had no pillow protectors, and there were stains on them, wall paper falling off, no hot water in kitchen, filthy cups and cutlery, a marshmallow sitting under the couch, dirty inside drawers, wall in toilet had brown drips, curtains were caked in dust, bathroom had soap scum resin everywhere, honestly wanted to drive home. Location is the only positive.

Checked in to find that television was not receiving any signals whatsoever. Reported this to reception who advised they would reset the system and call back. Nothing happened for one hour, so called back reception to learn that they had reset equipment but had not bothered to call back as promised. Nevertheless, still no TV and as it was a weekend nothing could be done. We asked two different receptionists if a manager could call us to discuss which we were promised would happen. Seven days later, nothing whatsoever from this establishment. Units were shabby, and other facilities were also broken or out of service such as the exhaust fan in bathroom and the guest laundry. If there was an opportunity to award negative stars, this motel would be receiving them. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

For the price of one night in Melbourne, we were very pleased as the apartment had everything you need: kitchen, private bathroom, good wifi and even a dishwasher. So even the room was very dated (cracks on the wall), we still felt ok. Only one thing that turned us down was the cleanliness of the room. We saw a pair of shorts under the bed, and the kitchen bench had some stain marks. Hope the management improve the quality of this place.

Unfortunately many things didn’t go well. We arrived and squeezed in to a park that I could barely get out of the car and was told we’d been upgraded. We had to drive a block away to the upgraded room. Inside was filthy walls, filthy blinds, filthy heater, no air conditioner (room I booked did), one roll of toilet paper, bathroom drawer filled with hair- the worst condition I’d ever seen a room. It was like we were being pranked as they couldn’t possibly call that an upgrade! I called reception and she said to come back and she’ll give the room I booked. Walked back down 2 flights of stairs with a sore leg (wasn’t told there’s no lift), packed car back up and drove back. I tried to inform reception of the condition but she appeared disinterested and just wanted to give the booked room without hearing what was actually wrong with the other room. I thought they may want feedback if they’re not familiar with all the rooms. The booked room was a lot better and more comfortable, however the kettle had dried pasta in it which went in our tea, the bedside table had a tea bag stuck to it, the bathroom tap didn’t turn off, the double bed was filled with hair and the sheets appeared dirty and not changed. It was a really disappointing and unpleasant stay unfortunately.
