Loved our stay at the Dorsett Melbourne. Rooms were beautiful, staff friendly, location central and our favourite was the swimming pool & heated spa. Perfect to relax after a long day walking around the city. Next time we come back to Melbourne, we will definitely be staying at the Dorsett.

Pleasant surprises await.

Absolutely top notch from start to end. Friendly and efficient check in with a bottle of wine compliments of Silver member. Our anniversary was acknowledged nicely but the biggest surprise was waiting for us in the room with another bottle of wine, chocolates, teddy, balloons and a nice card with warm best wishes for our anniversary. And there were also nice comments on the mirror which we noticed later that night. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Will be our go to hotel in Melbourne. Thank you.

My room had not been cleaned properly, there was someone’s underwear left in the wardrobe & there was off milk in my fridge. I had to call 3 times to get that sorted. There were mice in the lobby. The free wine was cheap quality. The room service i ordered was very cheap quality and not nice. The sauna didn’t work and no lockable lockers in gym or sauna, no changing room in gym area.

The hotel was lovely, new and clean and the staff were very friendly. Excellent location and surroundings. Unfortunate though some services were not available and on the website stated otherwise. No door bell hoppers, no 24 hour front desk, bar was not open until late, and a fire evacuation at 2am with no fire brigade called or staff assisting and in attendance was very concerning!

Overall great as usual

We had another great stay at the Dorsett with one exception. We had to evacuate the building at 2.30am on the second night. We still don’t know the reason for it but it was not nice to be wakened like that. I know it is not entirely under the control of the hotel but it wasn’t a pleasant experience nonetheless.
