Gordon Place is unique building located between Exhibition and Spring streets, extending north from Little Bourke Street. It was named for Gordon House, situated near the intersection of Little Bourke and Spring streets. Gordon House was built as a guest-house in 1883 by politician and theatrical entrepreneur George Coppin.
