Hotel itself annd staff excellent. I would have given 5 stars overall, but I had a nightmare with car parking. The hotel has an "arrangement" with Secure Parking at 570 Bourke Street [about 100 metres away] for "in and out access." I paid 40 Australian dollars per night for 4 nights. I was unbale to gain access three times and unable to leave once [when leaving to go to the airport]. The staff on the intercom said there was a glitch in the system such that it could not cope if I went in and out more than once. On the day I was to leave [at 7.20am] the car park computer system was not working so I could not even contact their staff on the intercom. Hotel staff came the rescue by coming to the car park and phoning the car park company to get the system back on. But a real nightmare for the entire 4 days and nights. So if you have a car, be aware of possible problems. Hotel staff said that this has never happened before. But it happened to me four times. One can only hope that Secure Parking sort out there problems!!!

Loved this hotel suite - very spacious, clean, modern, new and luxurious with stove top, good size fridge & the cutest small dishwasher and all the necessary kitchen items. So love all the tiled floors, no carpet so much cleaner this way. There were only small size toiletries in the room but reception was always very responsive to requests for more when needed. There’s also a great gym and location is good walking distance to the CBD and cafes even closer. Will definitely come back or look at other Meriton locations!

1. Room was clean, modern, well-designed, and well-appointed. 2. Liked the security elevator. 3. Would like to recognize Kay at the reception desk. I was early having disembarked from a cruise and feeling a little under-the-weather. No rooms were ready so Kay monitored room readiness while I sat in the lobby. As soon as a room was ready, she allowed me to check in. I felt she demonstrated a level of care and service I do not always see at most hotels. Thank you Kay!
