Welcome to Saltwood Mornington — a conscious coastal retreat between Mornington and Mount Martha. Nestled in a quiet, leafy pocket, this eco-friendly beach house and optional cottage offer a calm coastal escape designed to nurture both people and planet.
Thoughtfully curated with natural textures, low-tox finishes and sunlit open spaces, Saltwood invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect. Gentle sea breezes flow through airy interiors, while edible gardens and outdoor spaces encourage relaxed coastal living in harmony with nature.
The Space
The main house comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests, with the option to include a separate cottage sleeping up to 3 additional guests (available for an additional fee).
Sleeping arrangements:
• Master bedroom: Queen bed, ensuite, walk-in robe (sleeps 2)
• Bedroom 2: Bunk beds (sleeps 3)
• Bedroom 3: Queen bed (sleeps 2)
• Optional cottage: Double bed + pull-out king single couch (sleeps up to 3). The cottage is a separate, lockable space next to the main house.
Eco-conscious features include:
• Plant-based, non-toxic cleaning products
• Natural linens and cotton materials
• Wooden, bamboo and stainless-steel kitchenware
• Furniture made from natural materials where possible
• Excellent natural light and cross-ventilation
• Consciously planted gardens supporting local fauna
• Outdoor alfresco area with fire pit, fruit and veggie gardens, and rainwater tank
Guest Access
Guests have full access to the main house and double garage. Guests booking the cottage receive exclusive access to that space. Some wardrobes are locked for personal storage.
Other Things to Note
• Linen and bath towels provided (please bring beach towels)
• Strictly no smoking inside
• No parties or events
• Additional cottage fee: 50AUD per night
