Disliked: Cleanliness
Upon arrival the place was very dirty. We had to purchase cleaning materials immediately since it was shocking at how dirty and nasty it was. We spent the better part of a day cleaning the apartment. Urine was all over the cabinets next to the toilets. The floors were filthy they had not been swept or mopped in ages. There was not a single pot or pan in the place. The bedding was just a fitted sheet over the mattress and an old comforter thrown on top. The mattresses were horribly stained. One bed was just a mattress and box springs on the floor. The furniture was stained and the only thing that wasn’t was the 2 bar stools. The blinds did not offer any privacy since they were damaged on the front door and anyone could look in. We couldn’t use the ceiling fan since the neighbor had the same remote with same setting. When we turned it on they turned it off. There was some mystery ooze in the fridge drawer. The sink in the kitchen was plugged up when we got there. We had to go purchase a plunger to clear whatever was in the sink since the garbage disposal did not work. The instant hot water heater sounded like a diesel truck every time you switched on the hot water. There is a train that comes through daily at all hours and I understand it’s beyond his control but would have been nice to know. The owner was messaging me outside of the VRBO app and continues to do so. This was our first experience in the area and we left as soon as we could find other accommodations.
