We had a very good stay. Clean room and staff helpful. Breakfast was varied each day with a good selection. Good location with large parking area making it easy for taxi pick ups. Entrance set back from the street. Our only disappointment was not being able to watch Olympic Opening Ceremony as TV channels limited for English speaking guests.

The day I arrived the shower in my room wasn’t clean. It had hairs on the wall (from previous guess, I believe) and empty shampoo and conditioner containers from another hotel I guess, because this hotels doesn’t provide conditioner.. I have called the fri t desk and they offered to send a someone to clean at 8pm at night with off course I refused due to the time. I think this was unacceptable .. the overall cleaning of the wood was pretty bad ..

I absolutely loved the start at Grand Hotel, it was clean, each time we retuned to tue hotel at night we were very please with the service. The staff were super sweet, I had lost my phone on the way to Chichen itzá and the staff was super supportive trying to help me, at the end the person that found it delivered it back to the hotel. Over all the stay at Gran Hotel was amazing and Merida was as my husband said better than anything he hoped for.

Room was spacious and excellent! I came in February - the pool was super cold, felt nice during the day when it was hot but freezing during mid evening when the sun went down. Staff was courteous. Breafast was excellent and delicious. I would recommend and stay here again. The area felt safe and was about a 10 min walk from the Historical Center, but its all flat so super walkable.

Hotel is very clean. Great staff and very accommodating. Rooms had lots of closet space, nice towels, good AC, quiet, and a variety of choices at breakfast. Used Uber and Taxis to get around. Lots of activity around the square where the Casa de Montejo is. Caught a children parade as part of the Merida Festival. There are some excellent restaurants in Merida. Yerba Santa at the top of the list. Tigre Blanco had great Japanese food.

The hotel is very nice inside, clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was very good and there are plenty of choices of food for all. A special mention to Chevy at reception, she was very courteous, pleasant and very helpful to my wife and I. It is a very short walk to most parks and Merida attractions.

The rooms were great, food & service, specially the service from the front desk to room service. Specially on the 5th 4th Floors. Angel, Pablo, Diego & Cruz. The Breakfast was for sure one of our highlights of the day! Very Helpful & Friendly service. The Solis family had 15 guest in the hotel for several days, my son got married in Mérida. Will come back for sure & hopefully all the renovations will be completed & will stay at the Grand Americana! Thank you very much!

Location is good 4 blocks from the main square. The breakfast was really good a the service was top notch. The main entrance is under renovation, great building with so much history. Only wish they offered laundry service.
