The old building is not clean needs work and I know they are in the process of remodeling, but the new remodel building is not insulated and you can heard all the noice from the outside and next door. I was staying at the 1st floor, over the lobby and you could hear everything that was going on in the lobby and outside.

I was truly happy with my stay at Hotel Catedral. The room was modern and nicely designed. While waiting in the lobby, they offered snacks and drinks for guests, which was a nice touch. My only complaint is the breakfast time—7:30 AM feels a bit late, especially for guests with early tours or departures. It would be great if they started serving earlier.

First time in Mexico

If you are planning on saving time and money to see the heart of Historic Center of the city, this is the place to stay. There is so much to see near this hotel and it's a great place to come back to after a long day of walking. It's also amazing that history is right underneath you as you walk in the building where you see the Aztec ruins from the glass flooring of the hotel. Your day will start good with a wide spread of breakfast items (we're glad we decided to include it in the booking). The view from the rooftop was also amazing and it was a great place to just relax. We will stay at this hotel again when we return but I would request the Pyramid Tower than the Cathedral Tower simply because that's the newer side.

As a mom traveling alone with my two young adult daughters, this place was a safe, comfortable and conveniently located to explore around the Zocalo area. The hotel personnel was super welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself was modern and the room was very clean. Soft beds, pillows and down white comforters. Complimentary waters, sodas, juices, and mineral waters, restocked daily. It was our home away from home for 7 nights. Planning our next vacation to CDMX and staying here at Hotel Catedral.
