Mixed bag
This property is very polarizing one part stunning and one part frustrating. It is in an amazing garden, which is also a working business. So you get both the beauty and a ton of people. It is much more like renting an apartment than a private house while there is zero expectation of privacy outside.
Want to sit by the pool? During the day there was workers with leaf blowers, tours, photo shoots, angry pool cleaners yelling into their phone, and people just walking past. At night there was wedding guests having dinner six feet from the pool, karate classes, and families from the three other tiny houses on the property.
We had a few maintenance issues, but all were fixed promptly.
The garden itself is amazing. We truly enjoyed walking around and seeing the fish and the turtles.
The house has a connected office, with only a door separating. Nothing creepier than on Sunday night when we were watching a movie to hear a cough come from inside of the house. The turtle pen is right next to the master bedroom window.
The property was clean and maintained. But it lacks many of the necessities for a long term stay - a total of six cups, no cooking sheets, no measuring cups (we left some), no mixing bowls, no drying rack, no outlets by the beds, etc.
No guidebook of any kind. We were left to figure out a lot of things by ourselves - want to turn on the back lights - good luck finding the switch on the other side of the house.
