South River Suites review

I recently stayed at South River Suites, and my experience was a mix of pros and cons. The suite itself was spacious, but the cleanliness left something to be desired. While the surfaces appeared wiped down, there were small details that made it feel only semi-clean. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely could have been better. The biggest issue for me was the mattress. It was extremely firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. If you prefer a soft or even medium-firm bed, this might not be the place for you. I woke up feeling stiff, which isn’t ideal when traveling. On the positive side, the hotel had friendly staff, in a decent location. However, if comfort and spotless cleanliness are top priorities, you might want to consider other options.

Internet up and mostly down emergency alarms went off 2 times at 2am during my 5 day stay, very thin walls but you get what you pay for, staff where nice and helpful

When I entered the room around 11:00 PM, there was a very strong smell of paint. I called to request a room change, but I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms were available. They also told me that the smell was due to painting maintenance done that same day. They offered me a refund, but at 11:00 PM, while traveling with a minor, where was I supposed to find another hotel? I decided to stay, but we slept and woke up feeling very unwell because of the paint smell.

Not a fan. Originally booked for a week and left after 2 days. Very untidy, staff were too busy on their phones and honestly seemed sketchy. Boxes left in the hallways and the fire alarm went off every night at around midnight. I also had electrical smoke coming from our room that led to me having to open the balcony door to air out the unit. Not a fan, wish I got all my money back but they rinsed me for the 2 days I stayed there. 0/10.

This property was not great. Walls paper thin. Could hear a pin drop in the next room. Bed not super comfy. I booked with 3 people and got a room with one bed. They brought a cot, which wasn’t comfortable at all.

could do with a heavy clean and deep scrub everywhere including hallways. walls are paper thin. was considered my vacation but housekeeping knocks awake guests at 9 in the morning. strange smell. could let guests know about construction on the front which prohibits leaving from the front door.
