This is a perfect location from which to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Heritage Coast of Yorkshire. Aboard the steam train and take a memorable journey through the glorious Esk Valley. Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a traditional Victorian seaside resort with sandy beaches and quaint shops. Further along the coast there are the fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay, then a little further again are Sandsend and the Ancient Sea Port of Whitby, all of which are within easy driving distance.
