Spacious living areas

The cabin is 150 m² and designed for social gatherings and relaxation. The open living room and kitchen area creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone can gather.

Large windows bring in natural light and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The wood-burning fireplace adds a cozy atmosphere on colder evenings.

The kitchen is fully equipped and features a large kitchen island, making it easy to cook together – whether preparing a simple breakfast before heading out or enjoying a long dinner after a day in the mountains.

Bedrooms and sleeping arrangements

Frøybu has four comfortable bedrooms and sleeps up to 12 guests.

All beds are prepared with freshly made Egyptian cotton bed linen before arrival, and soft duvets ensure a good night's sleep.

The master bedroom has a private bathroom and direct access to the terrace and hot tub.

Terrace, hot tub and outdoor areas

A large terrace surrounds much of the cabin and offers several seating areas so you can always find a sheltered spot.

Here you will also find a fire pit and a cozy outdoor lounge with a gas fireplace. The outdoor room is heated and can be used year-round. Sheepskins and blankets are available for extra comfort on cooler evenings.

This makes the terrace a perfect place to enjoy long summer evenings or quiet winter nights under the stars.

Activities all year round

Budal is known for its peaceful mountain landscape and low levels of tourism. Here you can experience authentic Norwegian mountain nature without crowds.

In winter, the area offers around 100 km of groomed cross-country ski trails in the Budal and Forollhogna region. The terrain is ideal for long and scenic ski trips.

In summer, you can explore hiking trails in Forollhogna National Park, go fishing in rivers and mountain lakes, or pick berries and mushrooms in the surrounding forests.

The cabin is also ideal for longer midweek stays – whether you want to work remotely with fast WiFi or simply enjoy the calm of the mountains when the area is at its quietest.
