In addition, there are two double sofa beds in the living area, offering flexibility for families or groups of friends. La Ponderosa is a quiet, mainly residential area on the western side of Fuengirola, close to the border with Mijas Costa. It’s made up mostly of houses and apartment complexes and feels local and relaxed rather than touristy. People choose this area for its calm atmosphere while still being close to the beach and green spaces. It suits families and longer stays especially well, with good access to nearby parks and landmarks like Castillo Sohail, and it’s only a short walk or drive to busier parts of town.



Miramar, on the other hand, refers less to a residential neighbourhood and more to one of Fuengirola’s main hubs of activity. The area is best known for Centro Comercial Miramar, a large shopping and leisure centre that locals and visitors use for shopping, groceries, cinemas, restaurants, and casual social time. The surrounding area is lively, well-connected by road and public transport, and close to the river park and the beach.
