Cozy 1-BR cabin with additional sleeping loft. Less than 5 mi from Cooperstown

One of 13 Cabins and 3 Tiny Houses.

Five miles from Cooperstown, the Baseball Hall of Fame, and other area attractions, three miles from the Dreams Park, 25 minutes from the All-Star Village, Beaver Valley Cabins & Campsites boasts 276 acres of wooded hills, open meadows, and spring-fed ponds. In addition to our ability to accommodate any type of camping experience from RV sites with full hook-ups to secluded tent sites, Beaver Valley offers rustic Camping Cabins, 1-bedroom Housekeeping Cabins and 1-bedroom Tiny Houses.

For those who want to rough it more comfortably, Beaver Valley has one-room CAMPING CABINS that sleep four. Each cabin is 12' x 12' and has 1 double bed, a set of bunkbeds, a 4 cubic foot refrigerator, a small microwave, a chest of drawers and a covered deck. BUT the Camping Cabins have NO PLUMBING to them. You will need to walk about 300' to the extremely clean and modern central bathhouse. (Please note that we do not provide bed linens, pillows, towels, or kitchen towels.)

For those who don’t want to rough it at all, Beaver Valley offers 13 fully furnished one-bedroom Housekeeping Cabins and 3 one-bedroom Tiny Houses with A/C, private bath, kitchenette, and additional sleeping loft for the kids. They sleep up to 5 persons. (Please note that we provide 5 pillows, but we do not provide bed linens, towels, or kitchen towels.)

HOUSEKEEPING CABINS. Each bedroom has a built-in double bed and a set of bunkbeds. There is a ladder to a sleeping loft that has 2 twin mattresses on a carpeted floor for the kids and there is a futon in the common area. The cabin is 12' x 28', has A/C, Wi-Fi, and a covered deck. There is a small TV with a DVD player but there is no TV reception. Kitchen with 2 burner stove (no oven), full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, gas grill, fire-ring for a campfire and s'mores. No need to lug kitchen supplies: includes pots/pans, and dinnerware for 8. Private bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink. (Please note that we provide 5 pillows, but we do not provide bed linens, towels, or kitchen towels.)

TINY HOUSES. Each bedroom has a queen bed that you can walk around, steep stairs to a sleeping loft that has 2 twin mattresses on a carpeted floor for the kids and there is either a futon or fold-out couch in the common area. The Tiny Houses are 12’ x 36’ and have A/C, Wi-Fi, and a deck. There is a small TV with a DVD player but there is no TV reception. Kitchen with oven and 4 burner stove, full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, gas grill, fire-ring for a campfire and s'mores. No need to lug kitchen supplies: includes pots/pans, and dinnerware for 8. The common area is a little bigger than the one in the Housekeeping Cabins. (Please note that we provide 5 pillows, but we do not provide bed linens, towels, or kitchen towels.)

At Beaver Valley you can enjoy the recently renovated solar-heated pool and kiddie pool, timber playground, preschool play area, basketball and volleyball areas, arcade, and junk food store as well as the free Wi-Fi throughout the park. Explore the fossil pit, cast your line in our 3-acre fishing pond that’s stocked with large and small mouth bass. Catch a game on our Major League field. Start a pickup game on our Little League field. After dark, build a campfire, make s’mores, and do not miss the stars. You’ll be saying, “have you ever seen such stars?”

Beaver Valley is also an ideal venue for an overnight retreat or destination wedding, providing accommodations, a lovely reception hall seating 125, catering and a beautiful spot by the pond for a ceremony.

Cooperstown is a lovely village of approximately 2500 year round residents. Our Main Street area is teeming with activity! Browse Baseball Card and Memorabilia shops, visit the Baseball Wax Museum, hit a few balls at a nostalgic batting range, catch a baseball game at Doubleday Field where Abner Doubleday is said to have invented the game we call baseball and where Babe Ruth and other legends rounded the bases.

Main Street also offers an assortment of restaurants, a bakery, ice cream parlor and several non-baseball shops. Just outside of town you’ll find several micro-breweries and a distillery.

Otsego Lake, affectionately known as Glimmerglass by the locals, affords opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. Visitors can rent a speed boat, pontoon boat, kayak or canoe. A tour on the Glimmerglass Queen paddle-wheeler can be both elevating and educational.

Cooperstown is steeped in history. It is home to the Farmers' Museum (a working village from the 1800's) and the Fenimore Art Museum which houses one of the best displays of Hudson River Valley artists and Indian artifacts in the region. Cooperstown is the setting for James Fenimore Cooper's Leatherstocking Tales. You can pick up a map at the Chamber of Commerce that will point out the locations of the places mentioned in the books. The New York State Historical Association houses a renowned Resource Library for Students, Scholars, Genealogists, and Researchers.

Cultural events abound. The Glimmerglass Opera House features world class performances during July and August. There are local theatre troops and, in the summer, weekly concerts at Lake Front Park. The new Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta, Howe Caverns, Secret Caverns, the Iroquois Museum, Herkimer Diamond Mines, are all a 30-45 min. drive.
During your stay at this cabin, you'll be close to Cooperstown Dreams Park. You'll find features like laundry facilities and an arcade/game room. A kitchen and a sofa bed are available in the cabin.

Great location and facilities

We were in the area for a baseball tournament at Cooperstown All Star Village. The location was about 25 minutes away from ASV. It was perfect for my daughter and I while watching my son play in his games. The only thing that could have made our stay better is if it was a little warmer and more people wanted to use the pool.
