Come enjoy and relax at The Peninsula - a beautiful and upscale gated country club and golf course community! The East Coast's most award winning resort community is located on the Indian River Bay close to Rehoboth and Lewes beaches. Vacation at The Peninsula in this deluxe two bedroom, two bathroom condominium with lake views. Let your stress melt away on the screened balcony while watching the sun rise over the golf course. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is perfect for creating delicious home-cooked meals.

Entertaining will be a breeze in this kitchen, which is appointed with upgraded cabinets, granite counter tops, hardwood flooring and stainless steel appliances. The condominium comfortably sleeps up to six people. The master suite has a king bed, 50" smart TV, and a private bath. The second bedroom provides a queen bed while the living room's queen sofa sleeper offers additional space for larger families or groups to relax and enjoy a show or movie on the 55" TV. The Peninsula condominium is excellent for families looking for a worry-free vacation - the 3 indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs (outdoor pools available - from Memorial Day to Labor Day only), game center, playground, tennis and basketball courts all offer an activity to please the whole group! For the outdoor-loving guests, the private bay beach is a short walk away.

Enjoy fishing and crabbing as well as scenic nature trails. Kayaks and SUP (available for an additional charge) are a perfect way to take in the breath-taking views of the bay. The resort also offers pickle ball, bocce courts, volleyball, children's activities, Mah Jong, fitness classes and so much more. Take advantage of casual dining at The Terrace Grille or fine dining (not available to rental guests on Friday or Saturday) at The Clubhouse. For the golfers, here is your chance to play a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course for an additional fee. Guests can drive a short distance to the tax-free shopping at Tanger Outlets, downtown Rehoboth Beach with it's boardwalk or Historic Lewes. No smoking allowed.

Club Amenity Fees are based on a per person price/length of stay and will be in addition to the rental rate. If booking on VRBO they will not be included in the price quote.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package. Pets are not allowed at this property. Peninsula rules allow for a maximum of 2 cars.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This is an additional fee that will NOT be included on VRBO.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards for your initial deposit. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your arrival date, and will be automatically charged to your card on file if not paid prior to the due date. If you’d like to make a payment with a personal check or eCheck, please contact your agent for details. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival are required to be in certified funds or by credit card.

Property had wonderful amenities, but a bit pricy at 25 per day per person pre-paid vs. Daily option case weather prohibit access. Also inviting guest was a hassle, and bot convenient at all.

A great condo which was better than expected

We stayed for 9 days and were very please with all the unit had to offer. Furniture was very comfortable as were the beds. Kitchen had just about anything you would need (except a blender) with 2 coffee machines, tons of dinnerware, and varies pots and pans. It's location to the golf club and the pool area was within walking distance. I'd highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic!

This was our first experience using VRBO and this experience set the bar very high. The country club was top notch and everything about it is well thought out and has resort feel to it. Everyone from the staff to other guests were very friendly and polite. Of the 3 pools, we spend our time at the wave pool and loved it. We kayaked and this was the first time our 9 year kayaked by himself. Just watch the wind and check out the water conditions before going. Changing reservations with concierges was very easy. I've golfed all over the world, and this was probably one of the nicest courses I've played on. Very well maintained well laid out. My only recommendation would be to bring your own bikes. The unit is within biking distance to pools and other activities. Even though the resort rents bike, they have a limited number and were unable to rent. As for the condo, again, fantastic! Very clean, modern, comfortable, spacious, and home. Everything was as the photo's appeared, however, we felt the space actually larger than what we were expecting from the photos. The screened in porch over looks the 1st Tee and the pool complex is on the other side of that, visible. The unit faces east so we had wonderful sunrises. The property managers did a wonderful job communicating with us, answering our questions, and accommodating our requests. Even on her off day. It was a fantastic experience and we look forward to staying there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was wonderful. Very clean and had everything that was needed. The check in was not as smooth. There was no direction where to go. We were rushed out as there was a check in line with no clear idea on what we were doing. We had no idea about the different buildings and when we went to the gate we had no idea what we were talking about and had to show them our paperwork. They gave us our pass but did not provide instruction either and we drove around the complex for a good bit. Once we figured out Windswept and where it was we had no idea how to find the correct building. Paperwork said first building on your right. That was incorrect. after we found the building by figuring out what was cryptically written on the keys, we had no idea how to get in! We thought keys were in lockbox but it was a keyless entry. The whole experience my child said........like trying to get out of an Escape Room. Overall the experience was ok and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the actual condo itself. It was fabulous. The negative things were check in and the complex. There is nothing to do at night in this complex and everything is a far drive. I would suggest some activities or entertainment. There is a whole genre of teenagers that could use something to do in the evenings. However, Windswept 4305 is a wonderful, clean and convenient location to amenities.

Great Rental

This place was great, and had everything we could need. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, plateware, glassware, etc. The beds and couches were comfortable, as well as the seating on the deck.

Poor start - improved with time

Check in was awful - they had given our keys to someone else - had not checked ID’s - made us wait for 2 hours while they tried to sort out the mess with no proper process or respect for our time or needs. Once fixed the facilities are excellent although not as child friendly as hoped and a hint of renters being regarded as less than or intruders within a owners community - golf club was reluctant to accept our request for tee-times as we were not members

Way beyond expectations

We stayed here for a baseball tournament, after having poor experiences at hotels lately. So we decided to splurge and spend a bit more. Our stay was way beyond expectations. Beds were very, very comfortable. Very clean. Wavepool and regular pool kept my children occupied for four days, so much so we forgot we were there to play baseball. Just a relaxing experience all around. My only complaints were the check-in procedures and the accuracy of the condo description. When we arrived promptly at noon, our package was not there. So we got a guest paper so we could drive around. My kids got bored, so we used our temporary pass and went to the pool. I received a call a little while later to pick up the packet. The locks to the condo was confusing and I had to call to get instructions on how to get in. The description of the condo was that we had to bring EVERYTHING (hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilot paper, trash bags, literally everything). That was a pain to plan for with a whole family. But when we arrived all those items were already there.

Nice condo

The condo itself was very nice and the amenities were great but we thought it would be closer to the beach. The website said it was 8.1 miles but the closest beach was 1/2 hour away.

Overall a very nice place. Clean and quiet with good amenities! One recommendation would be to allow guest the checkout by turning in keys but still use the pool and other amenities on checkout day. This would allow for guests to get the full days of their vacation vs having to leave right at check out.

Very nice stay !

Everything was is it looked in the pictures. Having a kurig coffee maker was nice just bring your pods and all set for coffee. Amenities are excellent. Having the passes upfront made it easy.
