When we booked the night before we did know that renovations were in progress. Did not expect it to be in such disarray. Finally managed to find the temporary entrance but the debris on entering was quite a shock. The snow and salt outside made the carpeting absolutely filthy. No proper mat to wipe feet on so this was trailing further into hotel. The surfaces in the room felt slightly gritty with building dust I assume. Unfortunately went to breakfast at a time when there were other guests there so seating was minimal. There was a breakfast bar area but our backs cannot get us up onto a bar stool.
