Norwood Inn & Suites was the ultimate worst place I've ever stayed at. There was strong smells of marijuana as soon as we parked. This smell permeated throughout the facility. The pictures are NOT reflective of the actual rooms or facility. We checked in and they asked for my credit card--standard procedure and no issues. We got to our room and it was cold even though the heat was cranked up all the way. Coffee machine & phone didn't work. we walked back down to let the front desk know. They gave us a new room. Heat and coffee machine worked. However safety features were completely lacking. The chain lock was connected with a magnet that easily came right off. The deadbolt didn't work. (The door did lock). Peep hole was smeared with something, limiting the view. We were tired and blocked the door with a chair and called it good. The shower was either freezing cold water or scalding hot water, nothing in between. 10:45pm: we were asleep and there was a knock on the door and they announced they were from the front desk and our credit card didn't go through and wanted me to go down with my credit card and pay again (now 11pm). I asked if I could pay in the morning. Morning arrives and we went to go pay for the room. Asked to checkout early and cancel our second night. Man insisted I only booked for one night. Finally admitted I did book for 2 nights. Refused to cancel second night.

First off the Hotel looks ran down when I first entered the carpet was dengie and not clean, my room smelled of bleach and funk not pleasant at all... Then the TV was broken but they did replace it with another one but the phone wasn't working it was actually broken as well. The overall room it's was ok the carpet was dirty and needed vacuumed, the bathroom tub was stained a yellowish color and it wasn't pleasing to the eye so I decided to leave it wasn't worth staying.

Pictures posted are 10+ years old. Entire building and parking lot are dirty. Dim bathroom light, broken drain, stained and dirty shower. Sheets and pillow stained (possibly washed). Found out that I got bit by bed bugs while there. $100 deposit that wasnt returned until I called them and asked. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. You get what you pay for and choosing cheap was a mistake. Stay at your own risk.

Arguably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at

There was trash everywhere in the parking lot and on the grounds. The entire facility had an odd odor that permeated everything. It took almost 30 minutes to check in because there was only one person at the counter. We were only given one towel for 2 people, then told we could only exchange a dirty towel the next day. There was mold in the bathroom and water damage. The shower valve didn't work. The phone in the room didn't work. We were told the ice machine was broken. It had clearly been non-functional for a very long period of time. Everyday there were 2 or 3 cars parked in handicap spots with no handicap plates, stickers, or placard. Every morning there were multiple cars parked in such a way it was clear whoever parked the car was either drunk or on drugs. There was trash in the hallways and by the elevator. Every morning, there was a notable amount of new trash in the parking lot. I've stayed at many low cost budget run down hotels. Most of them were at least somewhat clean or had staff that were pleasant but that was not the case here. We should have left and cancelled our stay. In the future, I will not go back.... ever!!

It is unfortunate that people have to live in hotels for stable shelter instead of secure and proper housing. This place provides housing which is amazing but the cleanliness and upkeep are not there.
