The apartment was very nice. The key code on the door didn't work though. A couple of things I suggest to improve things. 1. Include sugar/sweetener for the coffee 2. Have many more bed pillows. The only 2 we had were very hard/flat. Owner did respond to my comment about the pillows being flat and only 2 of them. The response was that he only supplies 1 pillow per person and did not reply on that they were uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable though. 3. We only got 1 FOB key to enter the building. I assumed there would be 2. This was an inconvenience for me and my friend. If there is a way to get a 2nd FOB key, that would have been useful. 4. Include what the parking rate is. I asked but owner didn't answer. There was originally something mentioned about parking and I thought I would be able to use 1 spot that goes with the apartment. I just needed some communication on that. 5. I am giving a 3 because of the pillow issue and only 1 FOB key.

The door did not lock. The contact stated he would send someone to fix it. I waited all morning, and no one showed up. Contact ignored my messages for the rest of the trip and no one ever came to fix the door. Had to remove electronics, musical instruments and other valuables every time we left and pray no one broke into my car. Crappy, nerve wracking experience. That, combined with the contact's constant stream of contradictory statements...'you're all set', 'payment failed', 'no, you're set', 'you need alternate payment' that continued up till the day of travel. The contact apparently did not understand how and when VRBO disbursed payment. I was forced to delay the drive to WI because I was on the phone with VRBO, who'd charged me directly after booking the room, two months before the date of my departure. Nice property, bad host.

Convenient location with a cost

My husband and I stayed at this bnb for a weekend trip to MKE for our anniversary. We had never been to MKE before, so we were looking for someplace right in the hubbub of it all. We were planning to walk most places, and basically needed a place to sleep at night. Unfortunately, we received the check in instructions a few hours before we arrived which stated that there was no parking included in our stay. So when we arrived at 8pm we drove around for about 30 minutes looking for parking, but there was an event downtown that made every place quite full. We ended up finding one lot close by. They charged us $40 to park from 8pm-8am. After staying 3 days and paying for parking all day and night everywhere we went it almost doubled the cost of our stay. We contacted our host about it, and he did not have parking suggestions or a solution, and it did take him about 15 hours to respond. Otherwise the bnb is in a great location, clean, it had a bit of a weird smell upon entry but we got used to it quickly, there are no shelves in the shower to set your toiletries on, no tissues available, but there is a washer/dryer, and the TV is huge. We won’t be staying here again because of the lack of pricing transperacy, but if parking won’t be an issue for you, I would recommend.

Weekend Stay

The space was easy to access, clean, comfortable, just as described, and convenient to all that downtown offers. Also, we loved that we could bring our dog. Great communication with the host though-out our stay. Great place to stay for a weekend getaway.
