Our family really enjoyed our week-long stay! Four adults and two children (ages 9 and 11). We went out on the lake in a rowboat a few times, roasted s'mores over a campfire by the shoreline, and cooked meals on the large gas grill on the deck. There was lots of comfortable seating inside, and a screened in porch with chairs and table was perfect for playing boardgames in the evening. Downtown Minocqua was a 15 minute drive away. The owner was very responsive and helpful. There were a few minor hiccups with our stay involving internet, hot water, and the washing machine--but they were quickly resolved same-day or next day at the latest. There was no air conditioning, but many fans were supplied and a dip in the lake provided plenty of cooling. By the middle of the week the temperatures dipped from 90s into mid 50s, so we ended up making a fire in the fireplace too (dry firewood was also supplied). Bugs were plentiful (it is a cabin in the woods, after all) but plenty of bug spray was provided and the window and door screens were effective at keeping them out of the cabin. Definitely recommended!
