Disliked: Cleanliness
Pros:The host, Shane, responded swiftly and was consistently kind whenever I had questions. The kitchen was fully stocked, which made cooking during our stay very convenient. We were also greeted by a beautiful Christmas tree in the foyer, which created a warm and festive atmosphere—it truly made the home feel like Christmas away from home.Cons:Unfortunately, the exterior trash area had a strong odor. All trash cans were completely full, extremely heavy, and appeared not to have been emptied in a very long time. The inside of the home had an old, stagnant smell, requiring us to purchase deodorizers. There were gnats throughout the property, including persistent gnats and visible gnats in the kitchen and living areas. One pillow in the upstairs master suite had a noticeable stain, raising concerns about whether it had been properly cleaned.As a travel agent, this was not my first vacation rental experience, but it was my first that fell significantly below expectations, especially considering the price. The home was overpriced for the condition and cleanliness standards we encountered. I believe housekeeping would benefit from stronger quality checks to ensure bedding is cleaned, trash is emptied, and cans are placed out for pickup before guests arrive. A weekly property check would also help maintain the home for future guests.Despite that the property did not meet expectations, my family and I are grateful for the memories we made.
