Nice hotel, close to and walkable to the restaurants and venue we attended. Check in was a bit odd, people kept cutting in line to ask questions or to purchase items. I'm surprised staff didn't hold them back to serve those who were patiently in line. Hotel is well maintained, clean and safe. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. I did not use the pool but looked like the hot tub was out of order, pool area and is of good size. There is a parking fee, as well as a fee for valet parking. I didn't expect the train to make as much noise as it did, so be prepared for the train to make noise at night or early morning. Depending on the day of the week, Saturday night brings in a lot of bar and club goers, and you hear a lot of police sirens late on Sat night. They do have a nice bar downstairs. I recommend you get your drinks earlier in the day. At night it seems like people are loud and hard to find a place to si or to order a drink. We ended up sitting inside the restaurant to get drink. Inside it was much quieter and calm. Staff was really nice and welcoming. Team member Rom I believe did a great job by seating us and getting a server to us. Staff looked really busy, but they made sure we got everything we needed. Staff over all was a fun group to chat when they had a second to stop and check on us. They do have a restaurant and serve food up to about 10 pm which is nice. Overall a good place, great cookies!

The beds are comfy. Staff at the front was very friendly and we got these delicious cookies in check in. The area by the rain station was questionable..mostly industrial location. But had no issues. I heard this hotel has been there for over 20 years. We were there for a wedding. Great pool and gym.

Much to be expected

These rooms are in dire need of upgrades. The doors don't lock. The air conditioning is horrible. I shouldn't be sweating when just sitting there, and the AC is supposedly at the highest fan speed and the lowest temperature setting. Not being able to sleep because it's so hot is a sure way of running your entire stay.

I enjoyed the high floor room. It was a beautiful view of the city. The bar area was enjoyable too. The staff were friendly. The only issue we had was the AC stopped working the last night we were there, but staff was informed so hopefully it’ll be fixed quick!

We stayed here for Yosemite. But the distance is too far to the national park. In downtown Modesto, but the city itself has zero attractions. The hotel is good, with the same quality as the other DoubleTree in big cities. The breakfast is fantastic! Must try.
