We love our spacious family apartment in the heart of Modica! It is so comfortable and bright. It makes a great holiday base. You can explore Modica on foot by day or night from here or jump in the car and be at the sea in 20 minutes.
This was once the atelier of Giovanna, an expert dressmaker to all the city’s most elegant ladies . We have recently renovated the whole apartment. Modernized, it retains its fabulously spacious and airy feel. The 2 double bedrooms are large and high-ceilinged. There is also a comfortable single bedroom. The kitchen/dining room is generously sized and well equipped. Both bathrooms are brand new. There is also a terrace.
Located in one of the narrow lanes just off Corso Umberto 1, Modica’s main street, it is reached by 40 steps. Once there were many family homes in these streets. Everyone knew their neighbours (they could speak to one another across their balconies!) Churches are numerous and you can hear the bells chiming through the day.
Fresh, comfortable and well equipped, this home is well suited to couples and families seeking to get an authentic taste of Sicilian townlife.
