Villa Suprema - Four Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 8
On a country road halfway between Modica and Scicli sits Villa Suprema. Surrounded by countryside and not far from the coast, it’s an ideal home for exploring Southeastern Sicily.
Sleeping up to 8 guests across four delightful bedrooms, the ground floor of this villa offers spacious interiors with your ultimate relaxation in mind. A modern and elegant living room complete with flat-screen TV, sofas, armchairs and fireplace flows into a sleek dining area and kitchen with breakfast bar. Also on the ground floor is an indulgent wellness area with a Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath and multi-sensory shower that is available for our guests' exclusive use.
Outside is just as appealing, with landscaped gardens dotted with aromatic trees, plants and flowers. A private pool and poolside terrace with sun loungers is situated in the middle of a grassy lawn and is a beautiful spot to admire the views of the sea in the distance. A patio with comfy seating area and dining table is a lovely place to spend the evening eating, drinking and enjoying each other’s company.
A couple of restaurants, bars and cafés can be found just 3km away in the local town. There are also supermarkets and grocery stores for stocking up on the essentials.
The Baroque town of Modica is a 15-minute drive away and is a fantastic place to explore. As well as exquisite architecture and historic sites including the Duomo di San Pietro and Duomo di San Giorgio, the city is famous for its chocolate. Be sure to visit the chocolate museums and buy some to take home with you.
The little town of Scilci can also be reached in 15 minutes, while the hilltop town of Ragusa is half an hour away. The gardens of Giardino Ibleo here are particularly lovely.
The impressive Cava D’Ispica is a site where ancient caves and burial sites have been carved into the mountainside. Just 13km away, it’s not to be missed.
Sandy beaches and charming fishing villages await at Sampiere, Donnalucata and Marina di Modica, which can all be reached in around 25 minutes. The seaside village of Pozzallo also boasts an idyllic beach as well as a busy little port where you can catch a ferry to Malta.

A handful of restaurants, bars and cafés as well as handy grocery stores and supermarkets can be found in the local town just 3km away.
Modica is a 15-minute drive away and is a town filled with Baroque architecture and historic sites including the Duomo di San Pietro and Duomo di San Giorgio. It’s also famous for its chocolate, which is made from a very old recipe that first came from the Aztecs. Tour a museum to learn more about its history and be sure to buy some delicious chocolate before you leave.
Scicli can also be reached in just 15 minutes. This little town was once devastated by an earthquake in 1693 but was rebuilt in the Sicilian Baroque style. Today it’s a joy to wander around and is filled with pretty palazzi and lovely churches.
Visit the UNESCO-listed city of Ragusa and explore the beautiful gardens of Giardino Ibleo, the Duomo di San Giorgio and the Museo Archeologico. 20km away, the city is known for being one of the main filming locations of Inspector Montalbano and also boasts incredible views from its hilltop perch.
The Cava D’Ispica is 13km away and a must-visit when staying in the area. Here you will find ancient cave homes and burial sites from the Middle Ages carved into the mountain. It’s a fascinating place and offers a glimpse into Sicily’s past.
A 45-minute drive takes you to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Noto, another example of striking Sicilian architecture. It has an array of nice bars and restaurants and the Corso Vittorio Emanuele walkway, which passes palazzi and churches, is one of the highlights of the town.
Syracuse can be reached in a little over an hour and is a wonderful city to spend a day trip exploring. Its main attraction is the old town called Ortigia, with its display of ornate façades and its vibrant atmosphere. Visit the ancient Greek theatre, Teatro Greco, which is still used for performances to this day.
The glistening coastline is also just a short distance away. Sampiere, Donnalucata and Marina di Modica can all be reached in around 25 minutes and boast stunning stretches of sandy beach with crystal-clear water ideal for swimming in. The seaside village of Pozzallo, which also has a lovely sandy beach, can be reached in about 25 minutes too. From its historic port you can even take a 90-minute ferry-ride to Malta.
