La Cimetta Asolo – A Private Home in the Asolo Hills

La Cimetta Asolo is a private home set among the gentle hills of Asolo, in the heart of Veneto: a place for guests who value space, privacy, beautiful landscapes and the freedom to discover this extraordinary part of Italy at their own pace.

This is not simply somewhere to sleep between excursions. La Cimetta is a house to inhabit.

Surrounded by greenery and open views, the property offers generous indoor and outdoor spaces, a private 10 × 5 metre swimming pool, a garden overlooking the surrounding hills and mountains, and quiet corners in which to read, write, think or simply enjoy the changing light throughout the day.

The atmosphere of the house also lends itself naturally to creative work, writing and remote working. Its sense of space, tranquillity and connection with the landscape make it an inviting setting for those who need time to concentrate, develop ideas or continue working while away from home.

From the garden, the view reaches towards Monte Grappa and the mountains beyond. Drive or walk higher into those same landscapes and the perspective changes completely: on clear days, the view can stretch across the Veneto plain towards the Adriatic Sea.

The house is an ideal base for discovering Asolo, Monte Grappa, the Prosecco Hills, historic towns, Venetian villas and the wider Veneto region, while returning each day to the tranquillity of a private home in the countryside.

La Cimetta has been furnished and cared for as a real home rather than as a conventional holiday rental. Guests have the space and independence to settle into their own rhythm, whether that means slow mornings by the pool, exploring local villages and landscapes, visiting Venice and the cities of Veneto, working quietly for part of the day, or simply enjoying dinner at home as evening falls over the hills.

Comfort, practicality and attention to detail are an important part of the experience. The house is intended for guests who travel frequently, appreciate well-considered services and expect the ease and reliability that make a longer stay feel genuinely comfortable.

La Cimetta is particularly suited to guests looking for a peaceful stay, privacy and an authentic connection with the landscape and culture of Veneto.

Lovely house in the countryside

Very large villa in a nice location, ranging from picturesque to slightly rustic. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Alessandra is a very friendly host; she respected our privacy but provided valuable insider information upon request. A place to return to.

We had the most wonderful stay at La Cimetta! Alessandra was very easy to communicate with and helpful. We especially loved her gift of Prosecco from her cellar when we arrived. The views from the house are breathtaking to say the least and Monfumo is an oasis with sweet osterias and vineyards just a short drive to beautiful Asolo and other towns beyond that. Day trips to Venice and the mountains are easy and plentiful. The pool was very clean and our children loved it. The kitchen had everything one would need to cook in and there are many grocery stores nearby. We were with three generations and all had such a wonderful time. We hope to go back soon!!

Serious communication issues

This was a very disappointing experience. Not only was the house full of mosquitoes (inside and out), but there was no air conditioning making it very difficult to use BOTH inside and outside facilities. Additionally, there were insufficient pillows, scratchy sheets, and a bunk bed that was supposed to open into a full size bed but didn't. But, mostly, the fact that Alessandra CAME INTO the house while we weren't there and called me MULTIPLE times during our vacation to complain about a "deposit" that we didn't owe was the most frustrating part. Finally, we left a day early and let her know this after the first night because of the conditions. She asked us to be out by 9:30 so the cleaning crew could come in. We were gone by 9 and then received MULTIPLE calls from her saying we were very poor guests ! She continued to say w owed her a "deposit" when the house had been paid in full 2 weeks before we came. She never gave us a cost for the additional day after many WELL DOCUMENTED attempts to find out if/how much we owed. Since we did not use the additional night, and we let her know that immediately after the first night, we believe we did not owe her anything else. Overall, the home was unique and in a beautiful location, but I would NOT recommend this VRBO to anyone, especially in the warmer months.

Our stay in La Cimetta

We had a nice time at La Cimetta. The house is very cozy and nicely decorated, situated in a beautiful area. The pool is large and well-kept. The surroundings provide peace and intimacy. Behind the fence there is a vineyard and an olive grove. We haven't met any other tourists in the area. Nearby (a few minutes by car) there are some very good restaurants where local people eat. The owner is nice and helpful, but in case of any questions / problem, it happened that she did not answer the phone and called back the next day. The wine she produces in her vineyard is worth recommending - we bought several boxes for home. On arrival, we were greeted by the owner and her husband, who seemed dissatisfied with the fact that strangers would be living in his house. We were surprised to have to pay a deposit, which was not included in the announcement on the VRBO portal. In addition, it turned out that we had to pay for the electricity consumed at the end of the stay. Considering the very high price of renting the property, these costs are small, but the surprise was unpleasant. The rental price should take into account the consumption of basic utilities. So far, neither we nor our friends have encountered such a situation in other properties. On the day of departure, it turned out that we have over 80 euro to pay (for 1 week) - it was surprising because we are people who consume electricity economically. The owner quoted 45 cents for 1 kWh, which is probably not a real price. The people who collected the keys from us were very nice, although they did not speak English. They were not prepared to return the deposit, they had no cash with them. We covered the purchase amount of the wine from the deposit. We left 100 euros to cover the electricity costs. The owner promised that she would count the exact amount and return the rest to our account, but so far we have not received any information or refund. It's not about big money, but leaves an unpleasant impression. Due to this the departure was a bit stressful for us. To sum up - the area is beautiful and peaceful, the house is cozy and comfortable with a nice swimming pool, you can eat well in the area. However, a few details need to be fine-tuned in terms of rental costs.

Beautiful property, fabulous host.

Beautifully laid out property, has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen. All bedrooms en-suite. Plenty of outdoor seating, by the pool or in the shady loggia. Lovely area, with plenty to do nearby. (The Canova museum and the Brion Tombe especially were highlights). The owner produces her own Prosecco, so booking a tasting is a must. She was away on holiday during our stay but went above and beyond to organise a tasting for us in Venice (where we were staying the week before). She was so helpful, and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Had a fantastic relaxing time and would thoroughly recommend.

Assolutamente consigliata! Grazie Alessandra e alla prossima!

Beautiful! but a bit hot and buggy (during heat wave)

We had an amazing time in Monfumo. The house and property are kept very nicely. It was so nice to be greeted with fresh flowers and a few essentials. It really felt like a home away from home. The home has unique built in closets and drawers and beautiful wooden arched doorways. The pool was clean and incredibly refreshing. The porches were lovely and accommodating. My only criticism was that the property didn't have air conditioning or fans and the front rooms didn't have screens in the windows. We happened to be there during a heat wave in July, so the temperatures were in the mid 90's all week. While these temperatures are likely atypical, having some fans at the house would be helpful in my opinion. Also to keep cool we opened the windows in the evenings and since the front room had no screens we had mosquitoes and large wasps entering the home. Other than that the home is absolutely delightful! We especially enjoyed using the espresso machine in the mornings and swimming in the pool.

Perfection

This property exceeded our expectations (which were pretty high to begin with!). The home itself is lovely, with tasteful furnishings, and everything required for cooking and enjoying as if it were your own, but what we loved most were the grounds themselves, which are not only beautiful, but beautifully maintained. To enter the estate, automatic gates swing open and as you drive up a short shaded lane, you feel you've entered a different world. Afternoons by the pool we tried several of the Cima Del Pomer proceccos--the extra dry, dry, and Brut. All were wonderful, though my wife favored the Brut and the extra dry ranked first in my rankings. Made me yearn for Indian food, which would've been the perfect complement to all three of these wines. My wife was doing research about Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who spent extended time in nearby Asolo, which turned out to be a nicely preserved little hill town with excellent food, friendly locals and lots of walking paths. We hiked up to the Venetian-built fortress and were rewarded with spectacular views. Finally, it was especially fun meeting Alessandra and her charming husband and daughter. We dropped by the winery and enjoyed sitting in the kitchen chatting with Alessandra about kids, dogs and Italian politics, which was the perfect way to end a perfect stay.

Traumhaft erholsam

Idyllic Italian Country Living

After a wonderful week in Venice, my family of four arrived at this incredible gated property in the beautiful hills outside Asolo. We were met by our most gracious and charming host, Alessandra who is a font of knowledge about the whole area. The house is a spacious, comfortable, immaculately clean, and exquisitely decorated country house. The outside is as inviting as the inside with comfortable seating and beautiful views everywhere. Just strolling around the property admiring the views is a treat. You can sit out on the terrace until late into the night reading under the ample lighting. Then in the morning stroll down to the gate and pick up the fresh bread Alessandra has delivered. My teenage boys loved that. The location is perfect for any number of day trips to the fascinating old towns like Bassano del Grappa, Castlefranco, Cittadella, Feltre, etc. or to the Belluno Dolomites or Mt Grappa. And it's basically right next to old town Asolo which is a great place to walk around and have a drink on the terrace of an old castle or a meal in an amazing restaurant-Alessandra knows them all and is happy to help with reservations, suggestions, whatever you need. My only regret is not getting a chance to visit the family winery. Because, last but not least, Alessandra has a line of amazing Prosecco which just happens to be one of my favorite wines. You'll be in good hands and in a great place if you choose to stay here.

A cycling week at Villa Pomer

We spent a wonderful week in Monfumo being a group of 6 cyclists who were looking for a region with a nice landscape for cycling, original food and beverages and sightseeing of historic places/ cities nearby. We enjoyed very much our stay at Villa Pomer with uncomplicated hosts which welcomed us warmly and which were caring beyond expectations. The house itself is a former family house in a quite and very nice environment incl. a nice garden, terrace with fire place, pool, jacuzzi and own olive plantation. Small issues were detected during our stay and the hosts were open to improve these for the next guests. Overall a great place to spend holidays and a good starting point to explore the region of Veneto including the Monte Grappa in the north and Treviso in the south.

Home away from home

We relocated our family to this stunning home for 5 months and it was an experience like no other. The area of Monfumo and Asolo and the surrounding towns are the most picturesque, stunning places in the world. Villa Cima del Pomer was the perfect home to live in and holiday from. It was fun in summer with the pool, beautiful landscape and outdoor cooking area, and cosy in winter with the fireplace, beautiful walks and amazing agritourismos in close proximity. Then there is Venice, the proseccos of Valdobbiadene, Bassano del Grappa, Treviso, Cortina and all the other beautiful places surrounding Vila Cima to explore. Alessandra has all the local tips and was able to organise anything we required. It was the best time of our lives!
