I got this hotel based on others review but when I got there, it was not it, when we got In the shower the water kept going from hot to cold it wouldn’t stay at the set temperature the room itself is so outdated the walls are like thin paper never again.

The room was not clean at all my room had Leak on the ceiling in the bathroom. Not 1 but 2 there was mold in my bathroom. And there was things on my bed. This is not the first time this is happened to me at this motel

My husband and I came to Monterey for a little weekend getaway. We were so excited to stay beach front. The beach is on the other side of the sanctuary resort and over the hill. It’s super close to the beach, but not beach front. But great price for great location. Especially since the sanctuary goes for $650 a night. The rooms were definitely needing an update and a deep clean. Some would probably say it’s dirty but I definitely think it just needed a deep clean on all levels. We were in a conjoining room which had a door between the two and it locked but the noise did travel pretty clear through the door. Other than the little things, I would definitely stay again. The staff was nice and the property was clean and they had a good breakfast selection.

The staff was great. Joe provided excellent customer service and communication. The room had tissue paper stuffed in a hole in the ceiling where a smoke detector was suppose to be. The room was nonsmoking but reeked of cigarette smoke. No screens on the windows and this was a first level room. The toilet didn’t work. The tv remote was missing. The arm chair in the room had dirty footprints on it as if someone just stood on top of it. The bathroom fan vent was full of dust, appeared to have never been cleaned. The perimeter of the inside of the bathroom door was rotted and discolored. Overall, absolutely any other hotel, motel, or inn would have been in better shape than this place. It is hard to believe this room was assigned to me in the condition it was. The staff was helpful in my concerns and made it right by refunding me. Unfortunately, I was unable to stay at this property because of the reasons I listed above. The pictures online make you feel like you’re getting a great deal but they did not compare to the reality.

The rooms are a little old, but overall clean staff was super friendly and helpful. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach, which was nice. The location is convenient as you have shopping centers gas stations, and coffee shops pretty close by.

Terrible hotel stay

The room was terrible. The toilet and walls were dirty. The room smelled really bad as it wasn’t cleaned properly. The water kept changing temperature throughout shower. The whole place hasn’t been maintained properly. Don’t let the pictures fool you go with a better place!

When I get in the room and reached for the remote. It was broken, I had to go back to the office and get a new one. Then while taking a shower the lights started blinking on and off. Then we was laying in bed watching TV and the bed broke, made my sleep very uncomfortable. And then when we was getting ready to go the bathroom toilet would not flush. This was the worst stay in a room I ever experience.

Property was close to Monterey and Carmel with a great price. The room wasn't very clean, there was hair and water drops still in the bathtub when we got to the room. Good price and location but that's about all.

Very upset with my stay. Upon check in I had two rooms reserved for my family and I to celebrate my sisters birthday in Monterey. Their room was decent as mine was not. The first room I was in had dirty sheets, no towels, dirty fridge and microwave. I asked for a second room which also had dirty sheets with burn holes, bugs on the walls, dirty pillow cases and no light bulb in one of the bedside lamps. We asked to have the room discounted and the front desk said no that we can cancel and stay somewhere else or they can just have the sheets changed. It was too late in the day to look for somewhere else to stay as we had traveled hours just to get there we had to settle for the sheets to be changed which after the fact they still were not clean. As someone who has worked in hospitality for years this service was unacceptable. I will NEVER stay here again.

The place and location was good .. customer service not so good . Was at the counter checking in and he attended to the persons after us first .. I thought that was very inappropriate since we were there first . 2. I booked 4 room I specifically wanted them together which never happened, He gave 4 room all over some on top some at the bottom floor not ever close to each other what a inconvenience..

DIRTY HOTEL !!

Very filthy, stained sheets, no remote for tv, dirty walls, HAIR IN SHOWER, broken shower faucet, dirt hairs food on floor!!!! NASTY!!!! Lotions were used!! We left a day early and waisted money on this WHOLE TRIP!!!!!!! Pictures are a LIE!!!!! Disgusting hotel.
