At checking in, I was assigned to a room that had not been cleaned. I was reassigned to a different room after pointing this out to the front desk. At first glance, the room seemed OK. It was equipped with a microwave and small fridge. The bed was ok but the blankets had holes from cigarette burns. The pillows were lumpy and terrible. The room seems to have been renovated 2 years prior but was poorly maintained. The bath towels were small, thin and grungy. The face towel was stained and it looked like a cleaning rag that had been used in a mechanic’s shop. I took a picture of it as proof. The shower curtain is white but somewhat yellowing from use. The soapdish was filled with white soap scum residue. The TV did not work. The location is not bad and there is free parking. WIFI is decent. It was better than camping and hotel room cost was relatively inexpensive compared to other motels in the area. I can’t recommend this place for customers who are very particular about cleanliness. Sorry for the bad review but it’s the truth.

This place is a good place for the price, and if you just need a place to sleep while you in town. I was in room 100, which is next to the property residence, and the walls are a little thin between the two, in the afternoon it was quite noisy next to me, but not during the night. Everything was clean, but it’s definitely time to replace the linen, I went and bought a towel for my stay. Like I said if you just need a place to crash, this place is fine.

Extreme Dirty

My mother and I were in town from the Central Valley because my grandfather had a stroke. Instead of going with a big chain hotel company I thought we could give our business to a local inn. When I checked into the inn, the young gentleman at the counter was very friendly. He even recommended some good places to eat nearby. We unloaded the few bags we had I removed the decorative throw on bedding and discovered footprints with dirt and public hairs on the bedding and pillows. The room was full of dirt and the mirrors had streaks on them like it was rubbed with dust. I immediately went to tell the person at the front counter but it was a young lady this time and she was apologetic and said they had one room left. We checked into that room, I inspected bed and it was fine but still thick layers of dust. The bathroom floors had long hairs all over and in the tub. The towels were paper in with dirt and makeup stains. We were so grossed out but did not want to be problematic so we wrapped the pillows with our own beach towels and used our clothes to dry our face and hands. We just wanted to go to sleep and leave asap. What’s weird is that when we left at 8am the vacancy was still up and was in when we had returned from dinner at 9pm the night before. I do not recommend and unfortunately this has made me reconsider staying in inns.

The heater was very noisy and the low fan setting did not work, so I just had to turn it off at night. Cold room in morning. Bed would tilt downward if sat on edge.

Stayed here for a month for a short term work assignment. Understand this is a budget motel. We weren’t expecting the ritz, but at a minimum it should be clean. You have to ask them to clean the room, which is fine. What really annoyed us was that you have to ask them specifically to sweep/vacuum the floor and change the towels in the bathroom. The housekeeper doesn’t automatically do that even though the floor and towels are clearly dirty. Some of the towels were torn and didn’t dry properly. Sometimes if you ask them to clean in the morning, they’ll forget you asked and you come back to a dirty room. Also the room next to us had people who smoked marijuana and cigarettes all day, even though the room is labeled non smoking.

Don't recommend this hotel

Everything about the stay was below average. Which would have been ok. But ... The worst part was the other guests. Several of them were hanging out in their open doorways making excessive noise for hours. The hotel did nothing and did not answer the phone when we called to complain. The room next to ours has multiple people visiting at different times of the day and night as well as very loud conversations from midnight to 3 am and starting again at 6 am. I have my suspicion about what was going on. Anyway, it made for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant stay....I have stayed at many hotels in Monterey, this would be last in my list

The room was terribly dirty, I was afraid there might even be bed bugs it was so dirty. I could hear the neighbors heater cutting in and out, so I was unable to sleep. At one in the morning after three hours of attempting to sleep I finally got up and got in my car and left the hotel. Terrible experience here and I spoke to the man at the front desk about how dirty it was and nothing he could do for me. I would like a refund.
