Nice place - no view

Nice spot a couple blocks uphill from Ocean with a comfy Zen vibe. Rooms nicely appointed most with balconies but not all with views. We looked at the roof next door - our only disappointment. The people upstairs were noisy. Get a room on the top floor with a view!

Fabulous Stay at Tradewinds Carmel.

Lovely room (room 19) with stunning view. We found this hotel to be spotlessly clean with very friendly staff. The condition of the property was like new. Overall the Tradewinds exceeded our expectations. Would stay again in Room 19.

The hotel doesn't advertise they do not have air conditioning. While they had fans and a screen door to the balcony, the problem was early morning noise from an employee or guest playing loud music from their car right below my balcony and the garbage truck was not pleasant. I did enjoy the breakfast in a basket at the door everyday and the views as well but would not stay here again.

Fun, relaxing place!

Loved everything about this place. We felt spoiled by the breakfast basket brought to our door in the AM, and relaxed by the decor of the room and grounds, and the view from our balcony. Loved the softness of the sheets, and comfortable bed. Walkablility was great. Lots of amazing restaurants within easy walking distance, yet plenty of parking for the hotel. Also was glad we could charge our Tesla right at our hotel.

Lovely Stay

Lovely one night stay with my husband. This hotel is nicely situated. Quiet but still walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the beach. EV charging was also a big plus! Our room was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Decorations were tasteful. Loved the small fountain in our entry way + balcony and fireplace. The bed and pillows were a little soft for our liking. The breakfast basket was so cute. We appreciate little touches like that, including the chocolate chip cookies upon check in. Our biggest complaint would be the WI-FI speed. Super duper slow! Otherwise a really nice stay. We would consider returning for sure!

Rooms were nicely decorated, beds comfortable, plenty of closet space. Bathroom was nice, but slightly cramped. Nice surprise was daily breakfast, delivered to your room. It was delicious and beautifully packaged. Staff was friendly and helpful and went above and to make sure we had everything we needed. Parking can be challenging though. I would return here in a heartbeat!
