Staff was great and hotel was beautiful. Food was good but could be better. Because we traveled during the holiday busy week, it took us an hr to get to downtown la Fortuna. So, most nights we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. It would be nice if things stayed open later like the hot springs and kids club, etc. But the service was exceptional. Free laundry machines to wash your clothes and shoe dryer was a bonus!

The restaurants were not open at all times and being that were far from town need more food options a dining options so we can enjoy at diff venues. Cost of food was a bit expensive and with kids it adds up so maybe a discounted pizza bar and ice cream bar for kids to eat so available at all hours and easier for parents. Lovely views and staff experiences.

The property was everything you could have hoped for in a Costa Rican jungle. The pools were great! The drinks at the pool bar were amazing. I highly recommend the Tamarindo Margharita. One of the highlights was the Night Guided Walk. Our guide on April 6th was fantastic. He was so excited and knowledgable. He was the best!

Overall the property is a good place to stay when visiting the Arenal area. Good views of the volcano. Plenty of dining options. Huge property with many pools, slides, and hot spring fed pools. We toured the animal zoo/park area, where they house local animals that have been injured, we also did the tubing down the river which was fun. Very expensive to stay here, but they do a good job overall in all areas.

Loved the huge, beautiful grounds and the activities offered at the resort. We did the tubing and horseback riding - great fun and so convenient that it was at the resort. Concierge was very helpful finding us local tours, arranging transportation, etc. And good dining options too. We ate every meal at the resort except lunch during excursions. Really convenient and relaxing to have good dining at the resort. We loved the hot springs by the river, especially the one right above the waterfall. Very good resort for family.
