We enjoyed our stay at Campo Azul. It is a little bit out of town, but it was quiet and very safe. Would recommend a 4x4 to get around. Emanuel was fantastic to work with and helped me set up several activities. I recommend them all - ziplining with 100% Aventura, nature walk at the Monteverde Cloud Forest, night walk at Refugio, and the waterfall hike at El Tigre (strenuous, but worth it). The guides that Emanuel had us use for the cloud forest and night walk were amazing! The room had a well stocked kitchen for making meals. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for the two of us.

The property was beautiful! Great views and the property has what is needed. Definitely a good idea to have a 4x4 but not absolutely necessary. But that’s the same as the roads to get to Monteverde. Definitely a place a would stay again if I go back to Monteverde. Xinia and her husband were on site everyday taking care of the property and available for anything we needed.
