Villa Tocchi is located in the valleys of the Merse River, in the south of the province of Siena, not far from Montalcino and Pienza. You\'re not going to come across the place by chance, it lies well off the beaten track. Here life follows the rhythms of nature, in keeping with the ancient Roman concept of \"otium\", of the leisure and time that are needed to restore body and mind. In and around the property one can find hills, forests, lakes, wild animals, vegetable gardens, orchards and a private astronomical observatory. This luxurious villa offers stylish interiors imbued with natural materials and highlighted with a soothing combination of colors. The Villa comfortably accommodates 27 guests in 14 bedrooms, all tastefully furnished with antiques, flat-screen TV, fine linens and towels, and Florentine soaps and shampoos. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with bathtub or shower.

In the extensive gardens there is a large, infinity swimming pool overlooking the wooded valley. The lawn surrounding the pool is dotted with sunbeds, chaise lounges and umbrellas, all at the guests' disposal. A large, sunny panoramic terrace, furnished with wicker sofas and armchairs, overlooks the tree spa bath. The calidarium (hot), frigidarium (cold), and tepidarium (tepid) guide guests through a unique sensory experience: the three large baths - each containing water at a different temperature - whose infinity edges offer visual continuity with the surrounding green valleys, offer complete relaxation. There is a wellness center replete with a Finnish sauna, yoga room, and a gymnasium with workout equipment. Guests can have breakfast, half or full board service on request. Dishes offered reflect typical Tuscan cuisine, with products culled from the large organic vegetable garden and livestock raised on the estate (such as pigs, cows, sheep, goats and trout). Far away from the light pollution of the city, the astronomical observatory of the Villa, set on a hill rising out of the wood to a height of 350 meters above sea level, offers its visitors unforgettable experiences.

Villa Tocchi is ideal for friends on vacation or destination weddings (with terraces capable of seating up to 200 guests), for gatherings of stargazers, yoga courses or incentive groups, for managers who need to recharge their batteries, for team building programs, small-scale meetings or original events.

The Villa is actually a small hamlet of three adjoining buildings, in which the bedrooms are located, many of them opening off cozy lounges. Here, guests can sit on comfortable sofas by the fireplace to read, listen to music or sip a good Tuscan wine. Refined in their simplicity, all the spaces combine tradition and luxury: flat-screen Satellite TVs, fast Internet connection, linens locally manufactured, toiletries made from olive oil, private bathroom with shower and/or tub, hairdryer, underfloor heating supplied with hot water from a biomass-fueled boiler and solar photovoltaic and thermal panels, as well as a "cellar-effect" cooling system, again located under the floor (on request). The villa also offers a state-of-the-art kitchen with wood-burning oven, an attractively furnished dining room with seating for 27, movie theater, library with books, DVD's and CD's, private heliport, and shuttle service.

Far away from the light pollution of the city, the astronomical observatory of the Villa offers its visitors unforgettable experiences. From this privileged position it is possible to probe the sky with the superb technology of a professional observatory: CCD camera for deep-sky shots of the planets and moon with direct link to a maxi-screen; fiber optic network connected with the conference hall; meeting room with a capacity of twenty-five and fast internet connection. A unique feature of this place, the observatory has been selected by the U.A.I. (Italian Union of Amateur Astronomers) as a facility qualified to house meetings and conventions of astronomers.
