The issues that we encountered were dirty floors and filthy rug , dirty bathroom and no toilet paper. Sharing one bathroom with six other rooms,each room containing up to four people and some with animals. It appeared to me that some people live there permanently .We had Dirty marks on our pillowcases .The back wall of our room was damp and discolored also the ceiling was peeling and looked like it was about to fall down.The heater control unit was a knob hanging from the heater by a wire, which is very dangerous. The door code didn’t always work. The breakfast was novel to say the least and was short on what was ordered. We had one towel between two and that wasn’t clean so we didn’t use it . As for the dead hanging plant that sums it up!!!! My wife has asthma and has allergies and this was not a good environment for her. Expedia told us to report this to the front desk and we told them that there wasn't any. We have since discovered that Expedia have known about this hostel for years and have chosen to ignore the same Problems which date back to at least three years. Why is this dump allowed to accept guests through Expedia and steal people’s money??? I think this is a sick joke Expedia asking what the problems were, when they have had reviews for exactly the same things we endured. The hostel refused us a refund and Expedia are still advertising their lies. Hope this is clearer,

Very poor service left outside with no help

Code for entry never arrived. Left outside accomodation. No one answered phone calls, text, or emails on contact details. Let in be another guest then found room wasn't even ready five hours after check in time no apology and tried to blame me for not filling online form out which I had done as soon as I received it

We truly regretted not reading the reviews beforehand. This is a complete scam. The building is run-down, with no visible signage. We were asked to pay a second time even though we had already paid in advance. To this day, we are still waiting for a refund. They even send information as if we had stayed there. DO NOT GO THERE!

I missed that it was a shared bathroom so my bad..but to share it with 5 other suites should have been noted. Plus the bathroom was unclean, no shampoo, or other amenities. The promised breakfast was wrong day one and never arrived day two. Bnb is supposed to be a charming experience, this was none of that.

The area around this property was so excellent, but it was the only redeeming quality. For the price of this property, I expected more cleanliness, especially in the bathroom (there was period blood on the floor and the shower was a little questionable) and for the floor in general. The staff never responded to my message with a question and I even called to try to get a hold of anyone. After a couple days I was sent an automatic reply with some information that answered my question. The most upsetting part of this whole stay was the breakfast. This place advertises that breakfast is included but every day there was something missing from our order. First of all, we ordered two breakfasts (one for each of us) and we never got more than one. Secondly, there was always food missing from the one breakfast they gave us. At first it was like we were missing one egg. And then we were missing all the eggs. And then we weren’t given our apples. On the last day we literally only got bread. As young students who were relying on that meal to cut down on our travel cost this is unacceptable. When we contacted the property they were apologetic and said they would fix it (they have a third party providing the food), I was hopefully. But we got even less the next morning. We just wanted them to meet the bare minimum of what they advertised. Breakfast and good service. And this did not happen.

Very Disappointing Stay Despite the Great Location This place has so much potential, especially given that it’s in a fantastic neighbourhood - but unfortunately, there’s a serious lack of effort from the hosts. For the price we paid, the experience was extremely underwhelming. It was advertised as a bed and breakfast, but it’s not. You’re given uncooked food and expected to prepare it yourself - using dirty utensils and in an unclean kitchen. To make things worse, some of the food provided was clearly expired, which is completely unacceptable. Very sad to leave such a negative review, but I hope this helps others manage their expectations.

Wonderful location and hostel-like place to stay

Location is amazing! Bed was comfortable. Staff was accomodating and nice. There is no staff on site, and we needed more guidance than was provided via email or in person about how to enter and that the kitchen was upstairs etc. If looking for a hostel like situation, this place is great :)

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally request a refund for my recent booking at your hotel. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I found the room in unacceptable condition — it was extremely dirty and clearly not properly cleaned or maintained. Due to the poor hygiene and overall state of the room, I decided not to stay. I believe this level of service is a sign of disrespect to your guests, and I was very disappointed by the experience. Given the circumstances, I kindly ask for a full refund. I hope we can resolve this matter quickly and professionally. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.

I was disappointed in the overall condition of the place, considering I paid $170/night (through Expedia). My room was clean and "nice" enough (sort of shabby chic, but a bit too heavy on the shabby), but the bathrooms were dirty and the two communal back decks had dead plants and bits of garbage and debris. On my last day, both bathrooms were completely out of toilet paper. I texted the property and they replied right away. They sent over some tp within 60 minutes. But...honestly...that should not happen. Running out of coffee is one thing, but realizing there is no TP while you are sitting on the toilet is a whole other ballgame. To summarize, I would describe this B & B as "passable" but with a neglected vibe. If they put a little bit of money and effort into smoothing out the rough edges and doing a few cosmetic improvements, as well as enhancing their overall "organizational flow", it would make a huge difference, because the place has a lot of potential.
