The property did not have valet parking available and did not honor valet parking credit. There was no communication prior to checkin about the parking. Furthermore, checkin was 15 minutes later than official checkin time.

It was an amazing and quiet area, and we received a beautiful view. The 747 bus is right by the hotel, while the 1 train line is a block away, so you can go directly to and from the airport, which is completely worth it! The hotel had free cold water and a beautiful relaxation area downstairs. It is right by Chinatown, access to cheap products, and isn't far from Old Port, Mont Royal, centre-ville, Fontaine, the Jardin Botanique, and more.

Unbeatable location for exploring the city and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Shout out to Ricardo! We stayed in the panoramic room and then extended for an extra night in another room. Lost a star because though the rooms were clean, the upholstery and decor are white so had visible stains. The kind they would have to do a very deep clean or reno to remove. Beds were comfy, bedding, towels, glassware and appliances were stain free and clean.

The staff were great. The property is located in an area where Old Montreal, downtown and other good tourist areas were good. Homeless peoe is area but non-threatening. Amenities were so-so. The room was spacious but AC was freezing and not a lot of lights. TV can turn on but other than that its basic. Overall it was okay.

This place is ok for a one night stay, and the cost is good so you get what you pay for. The cons are the hallway of the hotel smelt weirdly like febreeze mixed with poop. The washroom also had a weird smell. They also sent a message on Expedia telling us that valet service was available. We couldn’t find it and ended up finding another lot close by. When we got to the hotel there was a sign on their reception desk that said that valet parking is unavailable so that communication was confusing.

Great stay

The hotel staff was very friendly, and the location was great. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was beyond my expectation. The parking was not a big issue, the staff directed us to a nearby underground parking lot, which had reasonable pricing.

I always enjoy Hotel Zero 1. It’s my go to hotel when visiting Montreal. It’s perfectly located near Chinatown for inexpensive Asian food, walkable to the gay village, and walkable to Old Montreal. If you book the corner queen rooms you’ll be happy with the room layout and how quiet they are. My only issue this trip was the air conditioning. It was way too high and never shut off. The room was freezing. I did ask the front desk to turn it down, which they did for about 5 hours before it switched back on - a minor problem. I was also supposed to receive a VIP reward of money credited towards parking, but the hotel was not offering its usual parking service, so I had to pay for a nearby garage. The hotel said the credit was an Expedia offer and not theirs so there wasn’t anything they could do about it. Again a minor issue. Overall I’ll definitely be back.
