This hotel get a 10 for its proximity to St Catherine Street and all the shopping entertainment and night life that Montreal is famous for. That is the good news. Everything else about this hotel is subpar and I rate it a 3 star motel as the hotel is not customer focused. Staff is not friendly. They are there to provide you keys and an invoice when you leave. The entire experience is geared to provide minimal service and limited engagement between customers and staff. The rooms are clean. The parking is sketchy as most of the parking spaces were roped off with yellow tape limiting the number of spaces and parking choices. I have not stayed at a Novotel before even though I have seen many of their hotels in my travels. I will not be staying at another Novotel in the future.

We had an issue with cleaning in our room, there was a ised needle left by the window. We got switched to another room. There is also construction going on and if you open the courtains they can totally see into the room.

Construction of a new building close by with lots of cement trucks and very noisy. Inconvenienced with electricity being turned off for 5 hrs! Bar closes at 11pm on a Thursday night. Only two coffee pods per room per day, need to pay extra if you want more!

I loked how close it was to everything especially the Bell Centre as we we're there for UFC 315. Staff was super friendly especially the waitress in the lounge. We didnt have control over the thermost so it was slightly warmer around 74f than I like. The shower drained slow so I was in about an inch or two of water before my shower was done. Other than that ot was very comfortable and affordable, would stay again but only if i needed to stat downtown
