Great location and the space itself has potential, but the experience with the host and the condition of the unit was disappointing. The host did not respond to any messages before or during our stay when we tried to address several concerns. At one point, a man entered the space unannounced saying he was there to fix the smoke alarm, which was concerning since we had not been notified. When I contacted the owner about this, they did not reply. On the second morning, the smoke detector started beeping and continued for the rest of our trip because we were unable to reach the host for assistance. We also messaged about the dishwasher that would not seal properly and again received no response. The unit was missing basic supplies such as a dish sponge, soap, dishwasher detergent, and other essentials. The lamps had no light bulbs, we ran out of toilet paper during the stay, the floors and tables were visibly dirty.

The Saint Lofts is in a great location, and the apartment itself is a nice size with a good layout. However, this unit shows clear signs of heavy use and could really benefit from more thorough maintenance and greater attention to detail. Some chairs are wobbly, and near the end of their lifespan, several light bulbs were burnt out, and there were noticeable cosmetic issues, such as chipped furniture, cigarette burns on the floors and furniture, and white paint splatters from touch-up work. The kitchen sink faucet is also coming apart, and the front door lock takes some effort to latch properly. The biggest issue, though, was dealing with a smoke detector chirping for almost 24 hours. I reached out multiple times, and it took two visits to resolve it fully. What should have been a small fix turned into a major disruption to the stay. I also noticed two other smoke detectors in the unit were broken, which is concerning from a safety standpoint. This unit needs more proactive upkeep and faster, more complete maintenance support — especially for safety-related issues.

beautiful space. amazing location. tasteful design. impractical and poorly designed showers. occasional odd odor at the entrance of natural gas / heating oil. ridiculous water pressure at the kitchen sink. no coffee.
