Well worth a stay for holiday

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, room was very clean and beautiful views, with tea &coffee in rooms, well maintained mini fridge, offering use of umbrella when raining. Free tea&coffees, and snacks of popcorn and some sweets in rest area in lobby. Outside sun terrace with free soft drinks, tea &coffee. Very good position on walk way of lake. Easy access to garage parking lots of room and organised with allocated spot for duration of stay.

Hotel tries to be glitzy but has forgotten genuine attention to guest services. Only one employee extended kind service — bartender from Belgium. Thank you for making us feel at home. // We arrived at 1pm and, understandably, our room was not ready. We were told to come back at 3pm. At 3pm, again, told us room was not ready. An answer we would not accept and told front desk. In my opinion, the hotel doesn’t want to check in guests before scheduled time. We saw many people told the same prior to 3pm checkin. Bathroom extremely small. No place to hang towels to dry. Eco-friendly NO. Asked for silverware and told they didn’t have any!!??? What??? They have a restaurant. Asked for mayonnaise, they said no - don’t have it. SAD TO SAY but we decided not to eat at hotel because of poor interaction with restaurant employees. Hotel was handing out lots of free commercial MONA stuff but hotel should pay more attention to general individual care and service. Nice view and location but otherwise I felt the “Big City” “New York” attitude. Sorry. // As for Montreux, gorgeous city.

Why I'm giving a 3 star is because they charged me for an extra person. I went back and forth with expedia for several days. They kept blaming each other. I finally got it resolved but being on vacation and trying to see things, it was very upsetting! I finally got my credit. Other than that, the place is in a good location. They do charge $25.00 per night for parking. Garage is very tiny as far as trying to pull in. Free coffee/expresso/popcorn/water in lobby. Tried to check in a little early and they told me to come back and check within an half hour. Did and the room was still not ready. Came back for check in time and the room still wasn't ready, so got a upgrade (I guess a little bigger room.) But had paid for room/balcony/lake view to begin with. Breakfast buffet was included and was excellent. Be careful leaving your food unattended outside. The seagulls will come down and grab your food. And the little sparrows too! Cute though. Love the area. A lot to do and walkable to a lot. Little vendors along the water selling merchandise. Went to Levey (wine area) further up. Loved that area. Shops close early everywhere in Switzerland.

The setting of the hotel is special except the guests can be heard closing the doors and even talking in the corridors. During my stay there were families living near me and they didn't keep their volume down.

MONA Ex-Eurotel Hôtel provides excellent service which is above and beyond! The hotel is in a perfect location facing the beautiful lake and it’s only 5 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel provides free mini bar and drinks in the lobby. I will highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying with this hotel again!

We booked a cosy balcony room with view of the lake. The view was fantastic. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast, which was included in our price, was great-lots of choices both hot and cold. The breakfast room had wonderful views too! And, an added bonus in Montreux was the transportation & discount card. We visited 2sites on our wish list for half price!

Amazing views from our room of the lake and city with lake walk right in front of the hotel. Was pleasantly surprised to be given a room upgrade. Good breakfast. Only inconvenience was the small retro but interesting lifts.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room had spectacular views. We appreciated the free snacks & drinks in the foyer. And the reception staff spoke good English & were very helpful. We didn’t try the breakfast which was quite expensive but we had a fridge in the room which was helpful & free minibar.

Smallest bathroom we encountered. Smaller than most cruise ships. Room view very ok. Hotel is positioned on nice boulevard planted with flowers on the lake. Convenient to railway station. Actual you can walk to station. Do not take taxi they charge 1.5 CF extra for each piece of luggage.

The staff we're very friendly and helpful. The hotel has lots of nice little extras... robes, slippers, bag to use while staying, refrigerator with complementary drinks, water bottles for the road, etc. The views with the balcony are amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Great find

Great staff, good restaurant, easy to get transportation in the region. Although very close to the train station, requires several flights of stairs from the station DOWN to the hotel. Can take an escalator back UP to the train station, however.
