The 30 m² apartment on the ground floor has a separate entrance and consists of a living room with a kitchenette, a bedroom as well as one bathroom and can therefore accommodate 2 people. The shared outdoor area boasts a garden and a covered terrace for you to start the day with breakfast or spend the mild evenings with a glass of wine and home-cooked dinners. The centre of Moos is 2.4 km or a 5-minute drive away, where you will find supermarkets, a bakery, a a pharmacy and restaurants with local cuisine. The beach, Strandbad Moos, is 3.2 km or an 8-minute drive away and invites you to swim in the clear blue water in the midst of a wonderful lake and mountain panorama. Stein am Rhein, a pretty town just beyond the Swiss border, is a 20-minute drive (12 km) away, and Europe’s biggest waterfalls, the “Rheinfall”, is 34 km or a 40-minute drive away, in the Swiss city of Schaffhausen. Bankholzen lies in an area, which is brilliant for all kinds of outdoor activities and is close to 7 extinct volcanoes. One of them, Hohentwiel, is only a 20-minute drive (13.6 km) away, and at the foot of the mountain, the old Hohentwiel fortress is a popular tourist attraction. There are numerous events in the area throughout the year, from exhibitions by local artists, at the Hermann Hesse Museum, the water procession, the Büllefest, sports events, such as the megathlon, to entertainment evenings with music on the lakeside promenades.
