The cabin was beautiful and very clean. It had everything we needed. The shower was great, always had hot water, which isn’t always the case when you stay in cabins. I didn’t realize when I booked that it was on a main road, but it was very easy to find and there wasn’t much traffic passing by at all. It was quiet, comfortable, and in a great location. We were just minutes away from Cave Lake and the beaches. We were close to hiking trails, including Lockegee Rock, which was beautiful, and not too far from Red River Gorge. We loved our stay! Morehead College Visit and Cave Run Lake Trip

We came down to Morehead for Family Day at Morehead State University to visit our 17 year old son who is participating in Kentucky’s GSP program there this summer. We wanted a home base for this trip close to the campus and even closer to the lake with a kitchen to cook him some home cooked meals. This cabin had it all!!! I’m a clean freak and this cabin was spotless and still smelled brand new. I loved the decor and aesthetic and the cabin had very nice finishes. My 12 year old daughter loved the Queen loft bedroom. She thought it was so cool up there! My daughter and I also appreciated the shower products and makeup remover wipes. It’s the little things that did not go unnoticed. The owner has a very nice laminated booklet with details about the cabin with clear instructions on how to use the coffee maker, electronics and clear checkout instructions. The owner had a list of recommended restaurants and we loved eating at POP’s BBQ for lunch (two minutes away tops)The kitchen had everything I needed to make our son a home-cooked breakfast and dinner. There was even a grill on property to use and fire pit filled with wood. This cabin had LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION to Cave Run Lake. It was only about a 4 minute drive to the water. We had fun at the lake and my husband and son squeezed in some fishing. It was also only a 15 minute drive to campus which made pickup and dropping our son back off to his dorm very easy.We will be back and bring our kayaks next time.
We loved spending time together on the relaxing front porch.
This cabin seems even bigger in person with the cathedral ceilings. The design/floor plan was very thought-out to maximize space.

Beautiful and clean cabin

The owner was so kind. We got there early and the owner helped us access it. We really appreciated it. The cabin was perfect and very clean. I recommend putting small trash cans in the bedrooms, a small table on the other side of the couch, a water filter pitcher in the fridge and some hooks on the back of the bathroom door, but overall this place could not have been any better. The fire pit was great. We cooked hot dogs and made smores. It was perfect. Everything worked exactly how it should.

Everything was excellent except there is no heat in the main bedroom if you shut the door. For winter rentals I would suggest leaving an electric heater for that room.

Superior experience: the cabin was ultra clean and comfortable. It was listed as new but felt like we were the first people to stay there. Messaged the host with a question and she called me back within a couple minutes and was very helpful. We usually travel to Morehead and Cave Run in the summer to camp. These cabins now open up the rest of the year to enjoy this beautiful area.

Weekend visit to MSU

This cabin was just the right space to relax in while visiting our daughter @ MSU! It is all brand new and really comfy! We enjoyed eating at the Frosty Freeze that's nearby as well. This cabin is in a great location if you are visiting MSU or Cave Run Lake.
