This was our absolute favorite hotel experience, EVER! It's vintage, artistic, clean, and heartwarming. Not crowded. The rooms are specious. It felt like staying with family. The only thing we would have liked is a small dining table, a couch, and fridge for when we brought food back. The entire staff is so professional, polite, and accommodating ... not only to us, but to our family members who came by to pick us up for our daily excursions.
We especially loved Emma, the receptionist who greeted us on our first day, and saw us out on our last day. She'd offer us water, coffee, sweetbread, and fruit. She also made sure to remind us to only drink bottled water and electrolytes to avoid getting any stomach sickness. She looked so sad to see us leave, and we were very sad as well! Hopefully she's still there when we return.
The rooms are simple, but very clean. The beds were so comfortable, and water for bathing was perfect temperature always. Staying at Nana Vida has encouraged us to visit beautiful Morelia at least once a year. We loved the location, still close to the center of all the activity and shops, but private.
