Nestled in a picturesque countryside setting in the Skagit Valley, this delightful three-bedroom, two-bathroom farmhouse offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees, this property provides a peaceful retreat with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors.
Inside the main house, the home features a warm and inviting ambiance with a cozy sitting room and a spacious living room, ideal for relaxation and entertaining. The well-appointed kitchen boasts ample cabinetry and workspace, making meal preparation a joy. Each bedroom in the main house is well sized (one bedroom with a queen bed and a smart tv and one bedroom with king bed without a TV), offering comfort and tranquility. The two bathrooms are designed for convenience and style.
The third bedroom, lovingly called the Coo-Room, (with two twin xl beds plus a smart tv) is accessible through the interior of the garage, creating a personal and private space. Our younger guests love being able to have a space to call their own! Please note, this bedroom is not part of the main house and you will need to walk through the garage to get to the main house and the two bathrooms.
Step outside of the home to take in the breathtaking scenery, with expansive grounds that provide endless possibilities for enjoying the beauty of nature. Whether you're seeking a serene getaway or a charming family home, this farmhouse is a rare find that captures the essence of country living.
We’ve thoughtfully upgraded this home with modern touches while preserving its original structural integrity. As a result, you may notice some quirks and creaks—these are a natural part of the home’s charm.
Insects & Nature: Being in the countryside, insects are common and unavoidable. The countryside is their home too! We have many flowers along the property, and you’ll find honey bees in their natural surroundings as well. You’ll often spot many birds in the area, so get ready to bird watch!
Parking is complimentary at Sunrise Fields! You may also access the garage(from inside the garage) and park undercover as well.
Trees & Safety: The property has many trees—please refrain from climbing them for your safety.
Unfenced Property: As the property is not fenced, please keep a close eye on children and pets.
Farming in the community: Mount Vernon is a very active farm community, which is very fun to see! Please note, tractor traffic can be slow at times. It’s just the way of the farm life! Also, because of all the fields and farming, there can often be dust in the area. We do our best to keep dust outside the home by keeping windows and doors shut. Sometimes a little dust is inevitable, and please know we take the utmost care in cleaning our home and preparing it for you. In order to keep farm dust to a minimum, it is best to keep windows and doors closed as much as possible.
Sportsman's Paradise: Mount Vernon and the surrounding areas is a sportsman's paradise. This property is located near an active hunting area, including some neighboring fields and parcels. During season, hunting activity may be heard throughout the day, particularly during early morning and evening hours when waterfowl and game hunting is most common. Guests could expect periodic hunting activity and noise in the surrounding wetlands and fields, especially during peak migration and sportsman seasons.
Enjoy your stay!
