Boasting a central position just one block from town, this stunning heritage-listed home provides an idyllic base in the heart of Mudgee. This late Victorian cottage combines old-world charm with contemporary finishes and air-conditioned interiors. Gather around the fire pit for an evening wine before relaxing in the luxury bath.
Arriving at this gorgeous property you will instantly be captivated by its charm. Built in the late 1800s, it retains much of its original detail, then adds all the modern luxuries needed for an enviable country escape. Myriad alfresco areas encourage guests to take a moment in the fresh air, with a BBQ, ambient festoon lighting and a fire pit to enjoy over some of the region’s renowned wine.

The property has been beautifully styled with unique artwork, antique furnishings and warm timber. A spacious dining room equipped with air-conditioning encourages groups to gather for a meal at home, making use of Mudgee’s delicious fresh produce. The kitchen comes well equipped for your holiday catering, with an oven, stove and traditional butlers’ sink. Through the kitchen you’ll find the living room, fitted with a plush leather lounge and TV. This space opens through French doors to the courtyard, presenting a lovely transition between indoors and out.

Each of the two bedrooms are set with queen-sized beds, side tables, and reading lights, while ceiling fans keep things comfortable. Travelling with an infant? A porta cot can be provided on request. An updated bathroom highlights a sumptuous bathtub and walk-in rain shower, along with a luxurious double vanity. Guests will also have access to internal laundry facilities including a washing machine, dryer and iron. Ample street parking is available.

Nestled just under four hours’ drive west of Sydney, the town of Mudgee is renowned for its wineries and flourishing food scene. Its winemaking dates to the 19th century, with notable cellar doors including Lowe Wines, Robert Stein Vineyard and Logan Wines. Meander the colonial streetscapes filled with produce stores, cafes and boutiques, and shop for local produce at the Mudgee Fine Foods Farmers’ Markets, held in the picturesque grounds of Robertson Park. While visiting the region, you can explore World Heritage-listed Wollemi National Park, home to scenic walking trails, canoeing and kayaking tours.
