Couldn’t stay - inaccessible

I rented this property 11 days in advance. Please explain to me how it’s possible to not give a renter the access code at least a week before. The owners phone number doesn’t work, the VRBO staff and help center wasn’t helpful, and I was forced to get myself a hotel for the night. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in renting a property. This was also my first experience with Vrbo, I will never use them again. I recommend sticking to other competitors and the like.

Petit logement propre et fonctionnel, proche du centre et de la gare. Donne sur une "cour" très calme. Stationnement facile le soir dans la rue.
