Only the couple managing the property, doing all rooms and check in and dining. So be patient. Even they might not know much English they still provide great service and try to accommodate your needs. Nice restaurants and convenient store around though most close early. Walking distance to the Akakura Obsen Ski area.

Akakura Star hotel

Great location and only a short walk to the ski area , bus station and local restaurants. Very basic but lovely staff and breakfast is a treat every morning

Breakfast is beautiful. The rooms are large. The ski and tech room is fantastic. The staff are very helpful. Please respect the hôtel as a Japanese hôtel.

入った階にフロントがなかったので、戸惑ったが3階だった。自分には熱かったが、源泉かけ流しの温泉だった。置いてたあった赤倉温泉の本によると開湯当初から同じ場所にある宿だった。大通りの突き当りにある。家庭的な料理でおいしかった。

温泉が源泉掛け流しでとてもよかったです。お部屋も年季はありましたが、広くて快適に過ごせました。朝食もしっかりでてきて美味しかったです。また泊まりたいと思いました。

建物は古いが、人的サービスはとても良い。皆笑顔で大変心地よく過ごせる。宿泊した部屋には、お茶、急須、湯呑み、ポット、歯ブラシ、タオルなど充実していた。朝食も手作り感があり、コーヒーも飲み放題。朝食のレストラン、客室ともに清潔でゴミが落ちているなんてこともない。すごく頑張っていらっしゃると思います。温泉もいいお湯です。湯の花がたっぷり。掃除が行き届いています。スキーやブーツの乾燥室が改善されたらより良いかと思います。

下次去妙高還要再光臨

很親切讓人安心的地方，年輕老闆英文不錯，溝通沒問題。飯店位置在溫泉街的盡頭，十分方便。我訂的是有私人衛浴的，還有一個小流理台，電爐可以燒水，應該還是比較好的選擇，畢竟要走到另一層樓才能盥洗有點麻煩~~溫泉對我來說超級燙!!!哈哈不過效能不錯，泡完皮膚感覺有變好~無線網路訊號不強

赤倉温泉全般ですが建物は古いです。風呂トイレは昔のビジネスホテルをイメージすると分かり易いかと思います。ウォシュレットもありませんし廊下も寒いので今どきのホテルしか知らない人だと、んっ？ と感じるかも知れません。 ペット可のホテルの割には毛が少しありましたが匂いはしません。 ただ、申し込み時期によってはゲストハウス、お安いビジネスホテル同様の金額で部屋のタイプにもよると思いますが小さいながらもキッチン付きの2ベットルームと8〜10畳？の居間にコタツ、ユニットバス付きの空間を使えおまけに掃除の時間以外は天然温泉入り放題で門限も無く赤倉温泉中心部にあり買い物や飲みに行くにも困らず狭いながらも屋内駐車場もありゲレンデやシャトルバス乗り場にも5分くらいです。 除雪もその都度やってくれますし車があって観光側に滑りに行くならシャトルバスは待つし混むので車で移動がオススメです。 飲みや食事に行く場所で困ってもフロントで相談に乗って貰え予約もして頂けるので助かります。細かい事を気にしなければ3日位連泊をすると良さがジワジワと感じられる不思議なお宿です。 どこに価値観を置くかはそれぞれですが色々とお世話になりました、ありがとうございました。
