Budget hotel with fantastic views

My son and I really enjoyed our stay. We were in an oceanfront room, so it looked like it had been updated. The hotel is definitely older, but the staff made up for that. Beds are comfy and the we didn't hear much noise from the hallwaysThe view is absolutely incredible, and I enjoyed having coffee out on the balcony every morning. It's also right on the boardwalk, so we walked up to Wicked Tuna for happy hour. I loved that the beach is literally steps away, AND you have access to all pools in both buildings. We didn't eat at the restaurant so I can't comment on that. If you're looking for a budget hotel with a great view, this is it. If you're looking for a fancy hotel when all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere.

There are a few things that are positive about this hotel. Location is great. Yes, its on the water, and has direct, easy access to the beach. I stayed by myself, so the size of the room was fine for one person. The parking, while not the best, wasn't a deal breaker. There were several lots near the hotel. There is a limit though, when it comes to cleanliness standards. The saved pictures promoting this hotel don't serve an accurate reflection of its condition. I was upset that I paid to stay. I shouldn't have to go to Walmart and buy a blanket and pillows for the bed because I refuse to sleep with what was given. Buy flip flops for the shower because I refuse to step barefoot on the floor. I even bought a cleaning product for the shower just as an added precaution. Major improvements are needed. Location while wonderful, doesn't erase basic safety and cleaning practices.

We arrived and the first room we had was disgusting. It didn't even look like it was clean. Went to front desk and the gentleman was very helpful and moved our room without any problem. The property definitely needs updating and repairs. The bed was very comfortable and it had an amazing view. We didn't see any bugs in the room which was s plus! It's in a little sketchy area at night. The access to thr beach was very close as was the boardwalk. I would stay in Norrh Myrtle Beach where it's safer.

Are stay was horrible bathroom was disgusting could hardly get in bathtub. Water smells like wastewater. Nobody came to clean. Hotels around were boarded up does not feel safe. Year's ago it was much better.

Nice area but I will not stay at this hotel again. Most things in my room did not work. Hallways smelled of urine. Pools ar all very dirty looking. This would be a nice place if it was updated and under better management.

There was so mych wind coming in under the door. I had to stuff a towel under the door to stop most of the noise. They wud not change my room. It was dirty. Cracked n chipping wall paint. Ceiling cracks. Not enough cooking pans in kitchen. I will never stay there again. People where checking put early bcuz of condition of rooms. Pools n hot tubs were dirty. Water was brown.

This property fulfilled its purpose and wasn’t bad. It was a little noisy but it wasn’t by fault of hotel. Our a/c didn’t work good while there but fans in room made it just fine. It’s outdated but had a great shower and garden tub and was clean. Parking wasn’t bad just across the street but no issues with parking. Indoor pools/ jacuzzi weren’t overcrowded but we didn’t have a chance to check them out. Staff were nice and had fresh towels daily.

We had a great experience with our 3 year old. Staff was very polite, pools were nice! Only thing I would change is having one of those door stopper locks as my daughter was able to unlock with just the deadbolt.
